[Graphic Mod] Varietas Delectat v9.2 [civ specific unit sets]

When I load the mod, I get an XML Load Error:

LoadXML call failed for modules\varietas delectat\xml\unitartsyles&civinfos\vd_civilizationinfos.xml

I press OK, and the game appears to continue loading normally.

This is a great mod, but I'm a bit confused, about what this modern expansion pack mod includes, is it ONLY modern units or does it include all the units from past versions as well like the ancient greek and persian skins? Also I was wondering if you have varitas delect for RFC?

Merging VD 7.0 + ME with Influence Driven war

IDW 3.19 moved into the correct folders inside VD mod folder.
Is that the correct way to merge?

EDIT - I should have tested it before i posted. Worked fine. Exciting combination.

Hi, quick observation, really nit-picky. Japanese Marines look like american military police, grease guns and everything. At least, they do in my game. Any plans to make them more eastern looking? If not, it won't really bother me. Thanks!

Don't know if this default VD or something happening within BAT, but got a report, and I confirmed, that the Native American Knight is red blobed. If it's just BAT do you have the art file for it by itself, or at least the proper filename for it so I can fix the xml in BAT? Don't really feel like unpaking the fpk if you have it handy.;)

Here is the Native Knight.

And here is the ArtDefines entry if you need that as well:

Where do I unpack the sioux knight file? I haven't seen the pink blob but I do use that mod.

Well you should check and world builder a native knight to see if you have the same problem.

If you have to place the knight, then I would assume that you follow the same file path in the artdefines:
Modules/Varietas Delectat/Art/Units/Native America/'Sioux Knight folder here'

But I dont know anything about modules, so I might be off.

Quot Capita v5.1: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=261143
This one's a bit earlier than planned, but I couldn't stand a buggy main release to be the only one available for download.
As a kind of compensation I bundled 4 new wonders from you, stripped (and a bit reworked) from tsentom1's excellent Thomas' War!

v5.1 changelog:

- crash when loading the mod (mostly under XP) corrected by merging Next War modules
- corrected Modern Infantry text (was Marines previously)
- UNIT_ARTSTYLE_GREMAN corrected for Trench Infantry (thx tgvulcan!)
- Bomber's bombing actions restored (thx Martin79!)
- Russian Jet Fighter graphics corrected (thx Nemesys!)
- added Lubyanka(KGB) Wonder (tsentom1)
- added Himeji Samurai Castle Wonder (tsentom1)
- added the Terracotta Army Wonder (tsentom1)
- added the Ishtar Gate Wonder (tsentom1)

I am trying to download the new Varietas Delectat 7.0 and Leaders of Varietas 2.01. The download link takes me to AtomicGamer to download the files. I have tried all four links to both files and they all give me the same error "The server replies that you don't have permission to download this file." Am I doing something wrong? Any help you can give is greatly appreciated.

Hey avain!

U already said that u will update the existing extra civs installers for VD and QC when u'll have time, and that's really great. I don't know, but may i have other requests, suggestions?
After u finished with the installers do u plan to make/add other new civs too?
The ones already in are Australia, Cuba, Hungary, Native America Expanded, Poland, Polynesia. Nice list, but there are many more with unique unit sets, Bakuel and the others keep them coming :)
Vietnam, Nubia, Izrael, Siam, just to mention some.
Maybe it would be better to update Hungary and NA with the newest LHs and units too.

/I suppose all new civs will be for both mods eventually, but I thought this fits here better than in the Quot Capita thread/

Another question:
If I am correct, u added the better LHs from Improved Graphics v2.0, but not the other parts of it. In my opinion Chuggi's better terrain graphics look amazing.
Never planned to include that too in VD? Or you prefer Blue Marble?

Btw, GeoModder finished Cultural Citystyles v0.55 and uploaded today (I noticed u was waiting for this)

@AbsintheRed: good suggestions, even more so because that's also what I'd like to do when I get around to do all those civs;)
And overall I prefer BlueMarble, but parts of Improved Graphics v2.0 are also brilliant, so I'm stealing those parts mercilessly! ;)

@achilleszero: Thanks goes to you yet again! I'm in fact also happy that you included those plus units too, since I like to evaluate and check every unit I can get my dirty hands on!

Me too. I am also currently merging what I consider the best of both into one fpk.

Theres more where that came from, I just have to remember which ones I did. Also I have several units I made as "legends" and wont be releasing those until LoR gets near completion.

Wow, that would be awesome. I like parts of both of them, this would solve my (and i think many other players) problem :D

Cool :king:
Is it public exactly which civs are on your soon added list?
Btw, I gladly help if I can in something (especially in the new civ/new LH subject)

This means u plan to include either of the better terrain graphic mods (or rather a merged version) in VD? Or these will have to be installed separatly for the later versions too?
Maybe the best would be if u could make it optional in the installer (like MEE), so everyone could choose whether he/she likes the original or the improved terrain better...
Oh crap, I'm starting to make too many request. Someone pls stop me ;)
