Graphics Modification Requests Thread

Perhaps in future evolution of BluMarble.

It could be very :drool: if you coul make a kind of BluMarble Mod (!), with moduls including new terrain graphic, new feature graphic, new animal, and ...

I'm looking for ,a very long time, when a "goodguy" will add some new relief graphics, like plato, small hills, depression (land below sea level), sandy coast, rocky coast etc...

Don't you think it could be the next stepp for BluMarble.

that new relief graphics could add strategic effects, rocky coast-> impassable, land below sea level-> defense bonus -10, etc.
 
Kissa, there is limitation with what Civ4 can do. you should ask this for Civ5. Blue marble is nice but I can't agree with some choice done since 2.0. It may be out of the scope of Blue Marble to inflate the number of terrain types & impossible to add new heights.
 
Moders Could add new heights but it needs python.

I ask for the moders if etc.

Could be an interesting way to make Civ4 evoluing.

I could use a "Golden Temple" aka Harmandir Sahib (Sikh place of worship in Amritsar/India) for JARM.

Hi everyone, I am working on a Europe mod that is going to be very detailed and Euro-centric. I am going to make flavored units for all of the civs, and even create new leaderheads where needed. I am also going to do different religions than the vanilla ones, and a vast array of civilizations ranging from modern to ancient European civilizations. This is going to be a long term project but I am going to start working on it shortly. First I am changing the UN to the EU (or EEC), and I need a building to represent this. So if someone could make one of the following models that would help:

Louise Weiss Building

The Berlaymont Building

And if you want some other ideas you can visit THIS WIKIPEDIA PAGE, which is a listing of European Union offices and buildings if these models prove difficult.

And of course as an American, it is always helpful to have actual Europeans helping me with this and although I have one, more would help. So if you think you can, or want to, contribute in any other way PM me.
 
Working on a National Wonders mod with Unique NW's for each Civ. Could us the following if anyone has some time:

Pearl Harbor, preferably the USS Arizona memorial.

The Louvre

The Cairo Museum

And graphics for the Epics of Beowulf and Gilgamesh

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, i'm new here, but i was wondering if it's at all possible to generate a small statistics window, with battle strenght/side visual. I have no idea how to do this at the moment, but i have done a lot of modding on other games. I might be in the wrong place here to ask this, and it might not be possible at all..?
 
I was wondering if anyone knew of any mods that made units more to scale?

Maybe making them shrink to about half the size when you are zoomed in to maximum?

Do you mean when the unit is selected?

Im pretty sure it is possible, although I have no clue how you would go about doing that. It would be interesting to see something like that.

when they begin combat.
a bit like the auto-resolve function, on some games, where you see the sides power in a small window, or just able to see the other units make-up. I will be looking into the scale of the units later, and how to change them. It will take a lot of study and i am very new to the game.

Yggdrasil sounds good too, should be an oak, if I am not wrong. I am just hesitating to download a whole mod for just one building, but I will have a look, when I am back at my own computer next week.
 
Culturally Diverse Cities and Towns. I have noticed that each civilizations city and town graphics are unique to their own culture. In every tile on the map that is occupied by some border, there is a percentage of cultural distribution even if no city or town is present. Would it be possible to alter the graphics of a city or town to reflect the level of culture in that square rather than the controlling or owner civ?

For example, I control a huge empire of cities spanning coast to coast which contains several cultures from various civilizations. Instead of a city automatically becoming 100% visually assimilated to my culture, the city's graphics remain the same as that of the former civilization until my empires culture/population has increased.

I don't know if this is possible. I have noticed though how each city on a map is seemingly random in interior building placement. Could this be changed to reflect the percent of culture that is present so a city with 20%, 30%, and 50% of three different civs cultures will have corresponding amounts of buildings/homes for each with the main buildings such as markets, courthouses or anything user-built reflecting the style of the controlling civ?
 
Okay I have an interesting suggestion, I'm making a Civ based on the DHARMA Initiative, from Lost, if anyone here watches that show.

Anyway, so, I can't skin for the life of me, so I'd like (if possible), a building for any of the Dharma Stations preferably the Swan (or "The Hatch") or the Arrow.
