Graphics Modification Requests Thread

Unfortunately, whenever I change that figure, nothing seems to happen in-game..

I've tried scaling it down and scaling it up, I've tried loading old savegames and I've tried playing new games, but no luck so far.. Any idea what I might be doing wrong here?

I've already edited that particular file, both in the regular CivIV folder and in the BtS folder, but no results so far.. :(

Sorry if this is obvious ... are you playing a mod? Then you have to edit the file in your mod directory. I do this all the time and it works for me.
 
I thought of Rushmore after I posted, but I'd seriously rather have a regular peaked mountain I can scale to get the valley I'm looking for. I'll look at Rushmore and see what I can do with it.

Yes, I am playing a mod (Ethnic Artstyles), but the file that I'm supposed to edit isn't included in the mod's XML directory, so I assumed that editing the file in either the BtS or Vanilla XML directory would work.. Unfortunately no results whatsoever..

Also, I'm pretty sure I copied the file in question to the mod directory with the changed values and still the mines were the same size.. :(
 
I'd really like for someone to make the graphics for a Coral Reef feature, which would be found on coasts in tropical regions and would probably either damage ships that move there or just be impassible to them.

(I was wanting to add this to my FfH modmod, so it should preferably match the style of that mod'd graphics)


I'd also like Camel and Goat resource graphics. (I think someone already made some of those, but they aren't the highest quality.)

Ethnic Artstyles you say, or Ethnic Citystyles? (with or without ethnic units)
In any case, try using the "<Scale>0.0</Scale>" tag in the mine improvement parameters in the Civ4PlotLSystem.xml file. It worked for me with custom forts.

I'm currently playing with 'Ethnic Artstyles', which includes both ethnic units and city styles appropriate to the civs. I edited the Civ4PlotLSystem.xml file in the XML directory of the mod and it worked like a charm..

Ah, and what ability would you consider giving it if you included it in a mod? A lot of different buildings have already been built. Would it be a modern equivalent of the Moai Statues giving you a bonus for every commerce square around that city? Would you give it a bonus to commerce spread across all cities? These are the interesting options for it. Looks kinda interesting but bland and plain compared with a lot of other wonders that are in Civ 4 and BTS...

I would like to request a building: Kibbutz

It is for my Mod I have finished all the xml for it and have the unit and leader head I just can't find a good building to represent a kibbutz.

Obviously since Kibbutz where not located in cities but on the frontiers of the state, it would be cool if the building was like a wall and could be placed around a city, or like a little houses dotted around the place inside farms etc etc? Or have a few little houses next to a guard tower or something along those lines?

I would really love someone to make a good building (and hopefully button) so I can add it to my mod which is finished but I can't bring out to the community because at the moment I am just using a generic model. It wouldn’t take that long as it would only be little!

I have an even simpler request! This for any decesent desinger would take ten seconds!

Can someone take the Red Cross building and change the Red Cross on top of it to a red magen David (star of David) So I can use it for my UB

Anyone please please please please it would take like 5 minutes!

Is some limitation for a number features? I added to my mod fifth feature (fifth in addition) and game crash. When I made separate minimod with this feature was all OK but if I´m adding feature to the my mod, game crash
some ideas? please
 
The Blue Mosque was modeled after the Hagia Sophia... that would probably take about five seconds in paint shop to reskin.
 
Posted this a few pages back, but to no avail. Would REALLY appreciate it if someone could accommodate this request. It will be very easy for someone with some basic graphics skills.

I need a .tga image of the lightning bolt used for the power indicator superimposed with the star that indicates a holy city for a religion. That's it. No new graphics, just a combination of two currently existing graphics. Can anyone PLEASE help? :)

In short: A future-era graphics update for workers. Specifics below... (please, art wizards, read on!)

In long: I am avowed art incompetent. I have difficulty sketching a map, and 3D graphics and skinning are WAY past my borders of ability. Even so, I'm somewhat vexed that in the fusion-powered "future" era of Civ IV, I still have 1930s-era slouch-capped workers running around. Call me a sap, but I'm looking for one of our resident artistic geniuses to build a copy of the Pixar character WALL-E to function as my future-era workers. Like the human worker unit, I envision a pair of robots per unit. Knowing as little as I do about such things, I imagine this means modifications to the animation files (however that's done) as well as the models and skins.

I can offer writing services in trade. If you need civilopedia articles written for your modpack or new units, I'd be happy to do your writing in exchange for this art work. Writing I can do...art is at the opposite end of the spectrum.
