Last night, my friend and I loaded up and played a great 12 AI opponent game on the Earth map. Had a truly fantastic time at it. Extremely fun.

I have slightly modified your latest version, basically giving roads a +1 food in agricultural areas and a +1 hammer in industrial zones. I also made changes to technology reveals resources, only because we like to be surprised as our civs develop and new things are revealed over the map.

I am still questioning the limited access to ocean going vessels as it stands. Also the Polynesians that I was playing was limited to 1 cargo spot on their wakkas, making any form of sea aggression highly difficult.

Overall, my friend and I extremely enjoy this mod.

Tchristensen, I'm glad you're having fun, but I really have to ask:

Could you please stop pumping out three or four new threads like this every few days? Many of the things you post about would fit just fine into the existing threads on the game, and by mass-producing threads on single minor subjects, you clutter up the forum and crowd out the main discussion threads.

You don't need to start a new thread for every idea you have or comment you want to make about the game.

This guy has some good ideas. I do think that there needs to be some slight modifications with revelling resources. especially the plantations and the quarry ones. I do think that if the wakkas have an extra cargo spot it would be too strong.

So you can't move a post? I Thought that was the idea of having it separated from all the other mods in the general download section? I would think you would want people posting on your mod, as I know the community isn't what it was.

If it is such a hassle for you to see question, queries, and positive feedback to your mod, I won't post anything.

It's not my mod, it's Xyth's.

He can move, or choose to not move, the posts if he chooses.

Speaking purely for myself, I just made a request because of how I feel, personally. You see, I am happy that we have the topic threads indexed- that questions about units come up in the unit thread, and so on. That makes it easy to look up all the discussions we've had, all the ideas we've had, which is good for Xyth when he's doing the writing of the mod, and good for us when we're tlaking about it.

But if the general-purpose unit and tech and terrain and building threads get buried in a flurry of single-topic threads, then that's making trouble for other people. Those threads exist purely so you and others like you can say what you please about these things- what's the harm in using them, instead of creating your own?

I don't understand why you would make such comments then? If you are not the designer or the administrator of this site, then aren't you overstepping your bounds?

I did not know there was some strict adherence to topical threads, and if there was I thought the admin would just move them there. I put them out into the main area so that everyone can see them without having to navigate through folders to see some new concepts or ideas.

You are probably a long term player of the mod, but for those of us who are just experiencing the mod and the forum, perhaps a bit more tact would be in order. As we lose share of players in Civilization IV we don't need derisive language to further splinter the community.

I don't have the ability to merge or move posts, only site moderators can do that. The Feedback threads are useful as I know where to look to find past discussions and they help to keep discussions from falling off the front page. My preference is that they are used when relevant but in the end it's not a big deal. The most important thing is that the discussions keep happening and remain open-minded, wherever they are posted. Lets move on.
