Historians wrote down greek history. These are some of the most important chapters in geopolitical greek history of ancient times:
The first people to make a prolong peace and cooparation in Europe. Greece was born at about 1600BC. Athens, a minor village in middle of Greece will become the capital of one of the most influencial and great empires mankind has ever seen.
Greek colonisation. Greeks travelled far and wide to find new riches and commercial opportunities. The whole mediterranean was more or less colonised.
Conquest of Egypt. Previous colonisation wasn't enough. Egypt was rich in vital metal ores and was a fertile valley, ideal for commercial development.
Conquest of Mesopotamia. Greeks saw Mesopotamians as a threat and destroyed them. Unfortunatelly they couldn't afford to keep these lands. Mesopotamia was completely destroyed by greeks and hittites.
Capture of Jerusalem, spawn of Phoenicians. The collapse of Mesopotamians freed the sailors of fertile crescent. Phoenicians declared their kingdom indepedent. Meanwhile Greeks conquered Judeah, a major religious center and commercious port that strengthened greek economy.
Persian empire and Carthaginian spawn. Cyrus, a gifted military leader managed to conquer Hittites and tried to rebuild mesopotamia. Meanwhile Phoenicians feared of Greeks and Persians decided to move to the west and found their first colony Carthage. However, Carthage was too strong to be controlled by the inisignificant Tyrus and prevailed as the Carthagian empire.
Roman spawn and Greek conquests of Persia. Greeks were fighting Persians back to the east. Meanwhile a great western power spawned. Rome unified Italy under its rule and was preparing to conquer beyond its lands.
Conquest of Persian Shahdom, Bactria, Phoenicia, establishment of Seleukeia. Greeks established greek control over the former Persian empire and destroyed it completely. They conquered Phoenicia angering Carthage.
After a prolonged time of peace the western world was as follows. Greeks had absolute control of middle east, balkans and Iberia. Carthage expanded in northwestern Africa and Rome in Italian Peninsula and Libya. A small celtic kingdom buffered the balkan zone between Rome and Greece. This situation was a reallity for centuries.
Spawn of Ethiopians and Tamils. Two small kingdoms around their older and stronger neighbours. Civilised way of living inspired surounding people.
Roman wars after destruction of Carthage. Romans attacked Carthage and destroyed it completely. Meanwhile Greeks were fighting against Romans.
The end of Roman wars. Greeks conquered Italian peninsula destroying the Romans completely. The result of these three parties wars was the complete destruction of the western powers, Carthage and Rome. Only minor and indepedent kingdoms remained. Greece had ultimate control of Europe and middle east.
The world at 200BC, the date at which Greece discovered philosophy. This marked the end of the ancient and classical era in Europe and the greek victory.
