Just had my first bug. Reloaded my save from last night playing the Inca. The two historic moments for building the Incan tunnel and the terrace farm have been replaced with the Geothermal Plant and Wind Farm historic moment allowing me to reclaim the Incan specific historic moments for more era score.
Been a target of military emergency because I warmongered neighboring Brazil (I am Sweden).
Korea and Khmer made a good effort to reach my captured Brazilian city with Horses and Catapults.
I defended against all their troops but they dont want to make peace.
I played just the first 20-ish turns before coming to work, but I noticed Horses aren't visible from start, and are now being revealed by Animal Husbandry.
City state conquering is still out of control. Turn 15 and the Incans were already capturing their first CS. Why even bother having CS's in? Hoping the city state start with walls mod still works with GS.
Overall color of the screen looks a bit dimmer (maybe it was because I turned on cloud shadows?) but this is better than the bright gold tint of golden ages of R&F.
My start was on a smallish landmass (continents script). Still in the Ancient Era (marathon) and both Dido and a city-state have discovered me with galleys/biremes.
Having a very weird experience with my first game. I'm now up to renaissance era, and I have seen a total of 0 barbarians in entire game. Surely that must be because I'm surrounded by other civs, you may think. But no. I have literally half a continent to myself and a single city state - yet not a single barb camp has spawned.
Also, AI seems to almost completely bypass wonders. I just finished Petra - in the Renaissance era. I build Pyramids in Medieval. This is on Emperor difficulty.
Set mine to 3. I've had a moderate flood, a violent dust storm and a tornado, none of which did anything detectable. According to the tooltip dust storms now add fertility, which doesn't make a lot of sense and they said in an early stream that they'd deliberately shied away from.
Why take a break when you can keep playing the same silly game?
Played 6 more turns and took a couple cities to get the Pyramids and expand the Empire.
Should be a breeze from this point basically doing whatever I feel like.
One of my cities got flooded a bit. It seems a couple districts are under water.
I am hoping that some Natural Disaster destroys my whole civilization and puts us out of our misery
Not sure why we would want to move our Capital though.
Doesn't seem like it would be worth the effort.
Something I forgot to add to my previous post, something I was quite impressed by is the optimization they did on turn times. It really is quite noticeable.
Now I just kinda wish that they would speed up animations for those of us who like to play with the animations on. Some units just move sooooooo slowly. I always end up turning the animations off later in the game but it'd be nice if that wasn't necessary. I still like to see where units move and everything, just a sliiightly quicker.
There are no units in the FOW. The only thing that happened was that my scout moved in between the settler and the designated destination, causing the pathfinder to send it on this absurd detour in spite of the scout being 5 turns away from the settlers current position. Seriously, if they can't program a pathfinder that can take this into consideration, then at least wake up the unit instead of just sending it automatically wondering off in the wrong direction without even notifying me.
Anyways, I just won a Diplo victory on Immortal as Kristina. Was very easy overall. Again, you can just hoard the Diplo favor for the victory condition and if you go for a Diplo victory you'll want to ally people which means that... well, noone will really get in your way, everyone will be friendly. Didn't have a single war,
