Even then, skinny Scandinavia is a bit strange.
Anything to do with economy?
 
Btw i should note it is a map of around the change of the Millenium (2000). Not sure if it can be traced that way so i am not providing the actual date. However i doubt things have really changed since then (at least for the most part).

Pretty far off.

This one looks very tropical, so malaria?

Malaria is even farther off, tropical is more or less spot on (I wouldn't use tropical in describing what it is, but tropical climate definitely influences the colours of the countries).
 
Clothing? Beach resorts?
 
I… don't think Siberia produces coffee.
