I don't think US troops have actually fought on British soil. :)

John Paul Jones burnt some British ships in port.

Damm, I'm gone for one night, and my map is forgotten and passed by! You guys got nothing better to do?
...
Neither do I. :p

Anyway, it was countries with either the highest or lowest points of elevation on their continent. Thanks for being patient.

Well I did get the map right. You just didn't confirm!

here's a fun one of mine

yea it was meant to be coutries america have been at war with, there were a few mistakes admitadly sorry about that

Check Thread Tools in the top right-hand corner. It saves making a pointless post.

The blue countries were all allied in WWII. Germany divided Poland between itself and Russia anddddddd... dunno.

Bulgaria, Slovakia, and Thailand are missing from the axis-aligned countries. Also, some of the major allied countries had been overlooked. ;)

I think it is territorial wins and losses after WWII but I am not sure. Poland won and lost some territories and is therefore green.

Blue = Countries that fought against Russia in WWII
Red = Countries that fought alongside Russia in WWII
Green = Countries that fought against both sides

Red=Countries that funded the Russia war Machine (America, Russia)/had russia fund their war machine (China, Yugoslavia)/Countries that were part of the soviet Union prior to 1939.
Blue=Countries that invaded Russia (Japan attempted to take Sakhalin Island in 1935, Germany and the rest of the European Countires were the axis members that participated in Operation Barbarossa)
Green=Both, since Poland was divided in 1939, they fall under both categories.

The rest of the countries (England, France, etc) did, in no way shape or form, help the soviet union (simply because Stalin refused Churchill's help) during OB and don't count as their ally (yet)

Except various Commonwealth countries, including the UK, did directly support the Soviets. Even ignoring the use of British warships and merchanmen.

And it does not inculde several Soviet Republics.

Territorial gains/losses/both is the most likely one. Ukraine, Belarus, and Russia were the only Soviet republics to expand. And the rest match up as far as I can see.

England certainly wasn't involved in WWII politics.

England is a commonly used shorthand for the United Kingdom, and has been used as such for centuries. Deal with it.

Or maybe actually get it right. You'd likely get knifed in Glasgow for calling Scotland "England". Deal with that too.

I am not in Glasgow, and I would never call Scotland "England", but I do use England as a shorthand for the United Kingdom. When I refer to the British monarch, I use Queen/King of England rather than Great Britain/United Kingdom.
I will also refer to the Netherlands, informally, as Holland. And the Soviet Union as Russia. And the Republic of China as Taiwan. And any other country with informal shorthands in common usage.
