GuideNES: The First Step for Lurkers and Newbies!

Yes, you are playing as the Government/leadership of your nation.

WARNING ~ This means that if you repeatedly do things at the common public don't agree with, you might start experiencing dissent and rebellion!

Archexcellent update, Comrade Koba! :p However, on that map of yours... that's not really Athens at all. It's Argos at the very best. ;)

This is very open ended, and as such I recognize fairly confusing, but feel free to pitch ideas to me, ask me and Abaddon a multitude of questions (I'll generally tell you if something is a really bad/really good idea or will work), etc

And the advisers, naturally. ;)

Good update! Seeing Liguria...It's hard not to change nation XD

Looks like this can be fun!

Orders later. Time to build a trade empire!

Flav, feel free to change if you wish.

No, No, I'm not going to change XD It was only a joke, to point out my obsession for Liguria

Well, Any hinters/info on them is great, I just made them because I found a map showing that there was a "ligurian" culture group there, and we needed nations in Italy!

So anyway, I'll be happy to join if someone wants me as an advisor. However, I'm quite busy ATM, so I'm not going to join unless my presence is needed (in which case I shall give it wholeheartedly).

Cheers buddy! I'll get Jo to add you to the list :D

Can I take Linguria, or Carthage? Which one would you recommend?

Please, please, do not take Liguria. Leave them in peace...

Hey! I will lead them to great heights! My orders, though somewhat elementary, are useful, especially in war situations. Ask Abaddon, Luckymoose, or BJ about them. They will say my normal orders suck, but my hostile ones don't!

Stop posting. Myself and Josef will discuss this and get back to you Sp via PM. Do not mention it again. PM us if you must.

Question: I see from map my neighbor. I assume it's Greek Alliance, but in stats it says it's capital in the Athens. Care to answer?

@Sparrow: Care to read ;). But yeah, I gotta fix that.

@Das: Comrade Koba?

@Das: Comrade Koba?

Also known as Druzhkov, Ivanovich, Soso, David, Nizharadze, Chizhikov, and many, many more. Also, Stalin. ;)

Fushia: Josef, and mine are officially in. No I didn't research rifling.

I'll likely respond to orders with suggestions, comments, etc, so if you want to send in just a rough outline of ideas, or incomplete orders (just make sure to denote them as such), I suggest doing so early. I'll respond to them whenever I get the chance.

EDIT: A very important note: WIKIPEDIA IS YOUR FRIEND. Use Wikipedia to look up your nation's historical background, and get some ideas as to what to do with your nation.

@Joe: Given that I was dubbed posterboy of non-creativity, or whatever it was, and given that I was largely just claiming a space, I would like to take this time to explain my real kingdom.

For story purposes, we can say that a major influx of Greek immigrants, combined with string of Philhellenic kings, prior to the establishment of a real national identity among Romans, resulted in the following. And yes, I realize that in real Greek it would be Mezohellas, or, to be picky, Mezellas, but A) that sounds dumb, and B) its not just Greek.

Nation Name: Arche Romaion Mezograikia (Kingdom of the Romans in Middle-Greece)

Navy: 5 Ships

Nation Background: The God of War and Wisdom, Martial, and his followers the Marinoi fought the Goddess of Lust, Didona, and her people, the Etruscoi. With the arrival of southern cousins, Legoi, devout worshippers of Legata, the Goddess of Law and Order, the Marinoi were successful and the Etruscoi defeated. Martial and Legata married in the aftermath of the war, and their followers followed suit. Their offspring, the God of Virtue, Romon, was named patron of the new city founded by the children of the Marinoi and the Legoi, and they called themselves Romaioi.
