Coming soon.

You could be a traitor German, but I can't give you a Tiger (unless you find one!).

I am assumming Civcube joined.

@Pug

Do you mind what class you are?

You could be a heavy weapons specialist.

@FF

I am making the characters at first, but you will get a chance soon enough.

And what class/nationality/name do you want? Unless you are waiting for me to tell you where it's set (an in depth description coming later).

It's going to be in a "fantasy" Arnhem setting- what that means is that the state of the city and appearance is similar, but it is in a fictional city, where the Allies (a mix of many countries) are fighting street to street with the Nazis.

You play as a member of the Penal Legion- which means you commited a crime and were sent to a near suicide squad of ragtags.

Sgt. Carl "Cannonball" Curtis the III!

Ten-HUT!

One space left...

But if more want to join I can make extra characters :).

Strangely enough, I was considering buying Gurps WWII yesterday evening, and I was convinced by Civcube.
I ordered it off Amazon this morning (£17 I think, jsut hope it gets he before sunday!)

Sniper Maximilian Piett, American :)

(If Sniper is not advalible, a close subsitute of Crack shot would do)

he's a crack shot, as he is not a specifically trained sniper.

I will finish the characters today, and post them up tonight.

Although the game will start tonight, people can still join for the firsty few days (real time).

Do you have the core rules?

And that's great :goodjob: .

I don't have it yet, but I should be getting it soon (WW2, that is).

And do you mind if I PM you for a few weapon stats? I have made them all up, but if you could give me the damage and accuracy stats (the others are factual) then it would help a lot :)).

I doubt I would have time to play, but I will be following this with interest. :D

And Lozzy, your sig is too long with your ad for this thread tacked on. ;)

If you want, you can join and I can control you when you are too busy.

Also, if people want, they can state their crimes (that put them in the Penal Legion), or something suitable that would have gotten you in it.

Otherwise I will.

Here's an example character (his background).

It is supplied by Joeb, and IS being used.

If you can make such "interesting" characters (only their background) feel free to PM them to me :).

Lord Widow Maker:

An eccentric and slightly mad Lord of Tinworthshire and a former pirate, as well as a WW1 veteran. He wears a "point German WW1 hat" with a pirate's logo on it (as he's a former pirate). He has brown hair and a moustache, where's standard WW1 British military uniform along with a waterflask sporting an SS logo- which he stole whilst on holiday to Germany prior to the war. He also carries a Khukuri knife which he stole on holiday in Nepal. He has a left peg-leg as he lost his original leg in Vietnam on holiday. He also has a hook (on his left arm) as he was a pirate. He also has a collection of WW1 tanks which he "borrowed" at the end of the war, which he keeps at his manor in Tinworthshire. He was been drafted into the Penal Legion for steaaling military equipment.

:mischief:

Well, I believe they come with the Lite rules.

I'm hoping to recieve it soon, so I can't give you too many stats, but what I CAN do is generally list the weapons and such, cos I happen to know most WWII weapons by heart :crazyeye:

Well i've already got all of the weapons, and most of the stats.

And yes, it comes with the Lite rules, which should be adequate if your not GM'ing (for now).

Also, check out Lord Widowmaker above :D.

Dang. Must I? If I must I must, but I'd rather not.

My crime is getting into a fight with another man from my squad. It began with just words, but eventually turned into a knife fight. My officer could not see my side of the arguement and sentenced me to the squad with the most casualties, the Penal Legion.

Okay:

Harry Mackay, born London, 1912.
Worked as greengrocer, joined army in 1940, in time to be routed from Dunkirk.
(I'm assuming htis is post 1944).
On D-Day, landed on Sword Beach, and his platoon got seperated from the company.
Mackay, despite being the sapper, blowing away a number of German casemates, also proved to be a good shot, never parting with his Lee Enfield.
His platoon, being separated from the company, managed to wander upon a German entrenchment system, which was heavily fortified.
The Germans spotted them almost immediately, and opened fire with their high-power MG42s, cutting down a number of soldiers.
The officer, Capt. Sam Hopkins, wa sim possession of all the maps, and papers. Upon being fired upon, he turned, and started fleeing, attempting to surrender.
Mackay then plantes a bullet between his shoulderblades, killing himn, but saving the company.
