Last I checked, naturalized Japanese citizens of Korean descent are often still expected to adopt Japanese names.

And even then, they still struggle to be accepted as Japanese.

Really glad Firaxis didn't try to force the merger of these two societies.

Japan has a strict migration policy. Their population is decreasing, but as Westwall, says, they must have relaxed their laws.

So if Japan is considered flooded, Japan is not part of the Korean Chungsu sponsor?

As far as I know, I have tons of college friends from my country living and breeding in Japan. So at least numerous one generation of gaijins are born there.

Chungsu is clearly written as a corporation, there is nothing to suggest it is anything more than the ANC, thus leaving it ambiguous as to whether Korea, is part of the PAC, its own independent entity or part of something else.

The fact they didn't have a Japanese sponsor suggests to me that they are interested in a possible 3rd expansion (like no Zulus in the 2nd Civ 5) as that is the only major area yet to be targeted

This is how I imagine her. She doesnt even have to be a cyborg, just a sentient hologram that represents the colony's culture and is revered as their leader because she came from Old Earth.

I started watching to see what you were referring to and then...I couldn't stop. Help me.

Either way, if someone else doesn't I'm making this into a mod. A still leader portrait wouldn't be too bad for the leader's concept. Plus, changing the outfit to fit affinity could also include hair + eye colour.

How such country which doesn't have an outstanding space program, can built large spaceship in the future, after strikes of Big mistake? It took a big effort for huge alliances to built them, how such comparably small countries can built or even buy them? This also applies to Chingsu.

And forgetting this is a world where many countries are allied despite having numerous historical feuds

And that this totally isn't a non-realistic game set in the future.

Japan was the most logical thing based on few things

For one, we were misled to believe that two leaders had aquatic bonuses (Chengsu doesn't, in fact, only NSA does). Had they clarified that only NSA, then any sponsor would've been guessed

But based on the fact that Japan is a modern island nation that would lose plenty of land should the sea level increased rapidly (there was a discussion on this earlier) then Japan was just assumed as the most logical pick.
