Happy National Pi Day!

There's plenty of ways to celebrate, such as eating a pi-symbol-shaped pie, memorizing pi to a hundred digits, or calculating the circumfrences of circles like a crazed math geek.[/B][/QUOTE]

Why bother calculating circumference to celebrate when you could be finding the surface area and volume of the solids created by rotating polar equations around lines?

Wow Hurricane thats a whole lotta numbers. Its gotta be a few million.

Is there a pie day as well? And would it make more sense to have them on the same day so that everyone can celebrate Pi(e) together.

Some kids in math class told me about it and my teacher was all put out because she didn't know about it. She went online and went all ditsy and singing pi songs. We were taking a geometry test and were all telling her to shut up.

One kid said that you should sing that on 1:59PM because it is 3.14159. I said that it should be sung at 1:59:14PM. :)

Yep, there's a National Pie Day sometime in January.

Pi is for math contests and the fifth roots of 1 and winning money and books! Those Greeks really knew what they were doing.

Well, I guess that it's a good thing for you that you missed it.

"HAPPY PI DAY"....(smack) shut up!

 Today is Television day! Happy Television Day! :yeah:

There are holidays for everything these days. There is even a National Stepchild's day over here. Must be some foolish spinoff on the "Bring your Daughter to work day". First the PC activists pushed for Sons to be allowed, too. Then they must have figured that there are step sons/daughters, too. What is next? Bring your dog to work day?
