Hardware Malfunction...???

I am randomly getting this malfunction which basically shuts down the game, sends me to a blue screen with the following text, and forces me to to a manual restart of the computer...

Hardware Malfunction
call your hardware vendor for support
NMI: Parity Check / Memory Parity Error
The System has halted

Im sure someone else is probably getting this as well....any ideas?

Sounds to me like you have some faulty memory. Very similar to a problem I had with Sims 2 on my new PC and after about 6 months of random inexplicable crashes I came to the conclusion my new PC either had a bad motherboard or RAM.

I concur that this error is most likely caused by faulty RAM. First thing I would try is physically reseating the RAM chip(s). If that doesn't help, is your system under warrenty? If yes, contact the vendor for advice. They'll probably ask you to run some diagnostics to verify the problem is caused by the RAM. If no warrenty, then download a RAM testing program and test the system yourself.
