I personally prefer not to get Spyware and the such on my comp.
Of course, when I was younger, and did not understand the link, I clicked them all the time.
Oh, and when I was at school, me and my friend found this "pin the tail on the donkey" popup, and decided to play it as much as we could, with the hopes of infesting the computer we were on with viruses (apparently
). Needless to say, it worked...

i hit him a few times now that i read this thread, fortunately firefox spared me to see what it's about...
At first I thought, "What a strange, violent topic for a thread!" I thought you meant a real, human receptionist. And no, I've never hit one of them, but I've wanted to on quite a few occasions.
As for the ad at the top of the forum, I think I tried once, out of sheer boredom. I don't remember if I hit him or not, but he probably had it coming anyway (I don't have a generally high opinion of hotel receptionists).
Oh, look -- there he is now -- yeah, if a receptionist was swaying around behind the counter like this guy is doing, I'd tell him to stand still and do his job...

I did the receptionist once.
It helps Thunderfall, so I don't block the adds and I once in a while click on it. I do usually immediately close the window that it opens though.
