In 2004, in 6 months using 2 computers that, combined with software, totaled less than $5,000 from his cabin in Alaska, respected computer graphics animator Tim Albee made a 22-minute animated work rivalling big-name, high-budget animation studios in quality called "Kaze: Ghost Warrior" (http://www.kazeghostwarrior.com).

Tim animated Cylon centurions (the walking toaster variety) for Battlestar Galactica, he also worked on a couple Disney pictures and Babylon V ... but none were as satisfying to him as working on his own movie and he wants very much to help others find out how to make their own.

You don't need millions nor even tens of thousands of dollars. You don't even have to do it alone, as he did with Kaze (every aspect from the CGI to postprocessing, editing, audio he did himself), because Tim has established a new community dedicated to sharing, teaching, learning and collaborating on independent animated film projects including his own upcoming full-length Kaze prequel feature.

Join us! Whether you have experience and expertise to share, or are simply curious and want to learn, join our community at http://loupguru.com/Community/

The kaze page?

I've had problems from time to time where it won't fully load, merely keeps re-loading the intro animation. I dunno why it does that, sorry. No, its not a virus. Try a full ctrl+refresh.

Oh and you have to click on the animation to get past it. :P

ok i got past the freaky part

and it really doesn't look like my cup of tea but it does look nice tough

Its not everyone's cup of tea, but I'm posting here more to promote learning to make your own movie than the Kaze work itself (though of course some might enjoy the piece itself).

I played the video game The Movies for a while. It's kind of fun.

No mention of Garry's Mod, tis a shame. A good base for Machinima work.
