I voted for everything.

Yes, German
No French
No Scandinavian
Yes, Italian
Yes, Spanish
Yes, Portuguese

Out of the poll options, just a wee bit of Swedish. I may be mostly eastern European, but I'm all American.

I don't know. My dad's side is Engish as far as I know, but my mum doesn't know anything, maybe something Mediterranean. The only answer she ever got was gypsy.

If Prussian counts as German, then yes.
Yeah, most people consider those wacky German-speaking Prussians to have been German back when they existed. Like my grandmother.

Everything but Spanish and Portuguese.

How far back are we supposed to go?

I voted definite Yes on French, definite No on Portuguesse, and Yes and No to all others because, frankly? I've got ancestors from those general regions, but far enough back that I'm not sure they should be counted (We're talking 1000+ years ago here)

I find it highly impressive that you are able to trace your origins 1000+ years back!

The oldest direct ancestor of mine that I could trace was born in 1840... and he's alone (meaning I traced his son and grandson but nobody else from that line up until 1910 or so).

Spanish probably. A 300 year occupation can do that.

Crap, I voted wrong. :(

German (Alsatian), French (only a minute amount), Italian (Neapolitan and Sicilian).

so we can clearly see how many voters are not of french descent.

I would think omission does that pretty well.

Scandinavian (Swedish), German

I'm mostly English, German, and Cherokee.

I used to think my great-great-granddad was Italian, but then I learned he was probably Scottish.

The English is mostly Norman, so could I count that as French and/or Scandinavian?

You forgot Poland!!!

umm.. I'm one hundred percent Polish as far I'm aware. Both of my parents' sides were farmers for quite a bit of time. Apparently even my dad's side is descended from a minor noble that received rural land from the first Polish king or something (1385-1410). Supposedly.
