Hihi, I have returned to Civ 5 recently for a change of pace from my usual Civ 6 joys. I have always enjoyed using Civ 5 SDK to make maps for various projects of mine. Some to play as scenarios and some for DND maps.
My main query is how to get Civ 5 SDK to boot properly in Linux Mint. I run Cinnamon Mint Ver 22 and every time I launch Civ 5 SDK with Steam Proton it tries to Launch the normal game in directx 9 and then crashes immediately. If anyone knows a stable way to run Civ 5 SDK that would be very very appreciated. The error happens between launching the SDK and launching the world builder and no matter how long I wait for it to load it doesn't work. I haven't found a version for it for wine or Lutris. If anyone knows a solution to this please let me know.
Attached are the screenshots of what happens when I try to launch the SDK world builder using Proton.
