Nice Roosevelt though I wonder if you could find one of that quality with his signature spectacles (if I'm remembering him correctly...)

Both Roosevelt's had spectacle glasses but i believe Teddy was best known for his and not Theodore Franklin. Teddy was the one with the Rough Riders.

Theodore is the one called Teddy; yeah Franklin is mostly depicted without spectacles (probably had pretty good eyesight) but some may remember his spectacled face better.

Theodore used a monocle most of the time. What I don't remember, at the moment, if it was his shooting (sighting) eye or not.

I think you'll find that both Teddy and FDR mostly used "pince-nez" type glasses. I also expect that what you think was a monocle was actually a pair of these glasses with a single cord connected to one side that makes it look a little monocle-like if you don't spot the other lens and nose pieces.

Here you go.

Will be a while till I get to wrap this up; cause I won't have access to my computer the next 2 months (summer vacation).

Can you do me a favor then, and do one for the Lower Sioux Tribe, Sleepy Eye and Little Crow, thx. They were in the Custom Civ area before. I guess Hiawatha (Iroquois) also. I just like all the Native ones to be re-done is all, thx.

It was suggested by two others that I look here to see what I can help out with. It looks like everything over the past 3 months has already been handled though. Also I have no knowledge at all about modding. I've just been enjoying C2C over the past couple of years and thought it would be nice to help out instead of just taking advantage of everyone elses hard work.

We are currently waiting for v35 to be released before adding anything else.

If there is something you are interested in learning about modding or there is a particular thing you want to adjust in C2C I am sure one of us would be willing to mentor you.

I have posted two ideas in the proper sections for them. I have one more I haven't mentioned yet that I haven't seen a section for having to do with WLT_ days. I guess I'll go ahead and mention it for the first time here, since you asked. I wonder if the benefits of it can be modified? Making a city totally maintenance free just doesn't make any sense to me. I don't care how happy I am, if my leader tells me I'm not getting paid for my work because of how happy I am then I'm not going to be happy with that leader. Also I'm not working for free. It would make much more sense to me to increase the :culture: rating. Perhaps a 50% increase over the current grand total. This makes sense too as a city full of happy people is going to be much more popular and talked about than an unhappy city. With the new tourism property, that could go up as well. I've never played a game with tourism though so not sure how that works.

You have it the wrong way round - it is not the leader telling you that you are happy it is you telling the leader and showing your appreciation for their leadership by giving back to the community.

There is plenty of evidence in history of people working for free on some project or other for the greater glory of leader, country, or the divine.

Of course there is also plenty of evidence of leaders making people work for free on some project by making it a national duty eg parts of what we refer to as The Great Wall.

So what is it that you want to change - culture boost instead of commerce boost... humm. Not sure where that is done. The trigger is in the civics infos file but I don't know that file well. You could look at the Modiki, in the menu on every Civfanatics page and see what options are available in the civics XML.
Modiki -> Civ IV XML Reference -> 3.8 Assets/XML/GameInfo -> CivicsInfos

I can't see anything in there but maybe one of the other files in that folder.

Well, I could see a few people deciding to work for free, but not an entire city at once. Even if every person did in fact agree to it, that still doesn't account for the use of other things that would cost money. The culture boost makes much more sense to me. I've heard nothing about this ever being changed in any mods so I'm guessing that it is hard coded in and unchangeable. I guess I'm wondering about the possibility.

No whole nations in ancient, whole cities up to Renaissance.

Yes, I think it is coded in the dll. It would be interesting if it wasn't and there was flexibility so as to provide more variation.

Today I fixed up Hiawatha & Wu Zeitan; I redid Dido as she was the first LH I made and therefore it contained a lot of stupid mistakes from my initial experimenting. Adittionally, I redid all the buttons from the custom leaderhead module to fit the same format as the latest ones I've made.

I'am working on performance improvements in the moment and for testing i need saves from later eras on big maps. They should at least be played to Industrial era or later on Large or bigger maps
