I've been using Paint mostly to create avatars and stuff, but it sucks a lot. Problem is, when saving in jpg format, there is a discolor - even worse when saving in gifs. The stretch/skew is also not the best either. Can anyone recommend a good, free, program to better edit pictures?

My parents have been longtime members of AOL. When we threatened to cancel (we were switching to MSN) they gave us three free months. Those months expire at the end, and I need to convince mom to drop aol and msn to go to cable/dsl. I need a convincing argument.

Does anyone also have problems with installing PTW? I get a huge problem with the invalid "data2.cab" Infogrames tech support isn't helping me at all.

aol is crap and un-reliable
use the internet at the same time as on the phone
download movies and music .:. less money spent on these

edit:ill think up some more latter if you need them im too tired at the moment to think well

My parents have said that it is user-friendly and that's why it should be kept. About five years back we were planning to switch to Earthlink but that was scrapped.

Get Paint Shop Pro, it is free and has lots of great features. And wjem its saves gifs and jpgs there is less mess up, although a little is tobe expected ina ll programs

Paint Shop Pro is actually shareware - technically you have limited use before you should uininstall it or buy it .....
