Hermetic lore for FFH DI4 (not for use outside this game)

I dont think you understand, I dont want a land bridge! i ment make there island touch the edge of the ENTIRE MAP. not the edge of the continate. That way there still isolated, but we can say there only part of the entire grigor empire, because in the scenarios they have 7-10 citys:)

@ vandal warlord: I want him to be an illian refugy who left when he was a child, who will (hoppfully) flee northward when he hears his great leader is alive and in need. This will start a long qeust chain:)

Ah, I see what you mean now. THat makes more sense.

If you want, you can always gift an Adventurer, or make a quest for one. (Say give one, Held, somewhere else.)

I thought that might be op, but as long as the other gods are ok with it i think thats what ill do:)

Hello fellow Gods, War is back from his internet deprived seclusion.

Lot of stuff that i've missed and stuff to respond to. Sorry if this looks rushed, it really is done quickly.

@ World View
Elvish War:
The Elves are now at peace, (Damn you Thesias!) so no more war there for now. The Ljosalfar have a city closest to the World Tree while the Svartalfar have the Way of the Leaves Holy city in a town a few spaces away from the World Tree.
My Harbringer is dead. He shall be missed and honoured for duping the elves into battle.

Proposed Changes:
Add a training academy to the Ljosalfar to commemorate the lost Harbringer.

Finnigens Spirit Guide:
No one seems to have claimed that little ghost yet. I know Kilimorph is about to declare Finnigen her champion, do you have a plot for the spirit? As i had a plan formulate a few days ago about having it be the ghost of Charadon (with a little amnesia so as to seem more nature loving). Figured it would be a good plot hook into having Charadon be reborn and either end up fighting for the Dovello or the Grigori.

If i did this i would probably need to write an exposition with Arawn God of Death to state that the Spirit is finally being given a voice and the slow return of memories of the life it lived. (which would explain why it's been so quiet untill now) As Finnigen is a champion-in-potentia i figured i'd better swing it by you first.

The Northern Wars
Cardith Lorda has an army. Not just any army but one of swordsmen with good experiance. The Thing is deadly just to look at. You may ask why they havn't conquered the world... Well thats because my little Dragon-Barbs got annoyed at this little child pretending he was a Dragon-reborn. Now hordes of little axe wielding crazy men and skeletons wreak havoc on their countryside. Sucks be to them.

The other War going on is to those poor Baalswraths. With two Barb friendly civs on one side and the Dragon Barbs directly to the south east, these poor folk arn't having much luck.

@Cernnunos, God of Nature
Not seen you post in awhile yourself. You might want to note that while Verdian believes that the elves didn't attack the World Tree, he would be wrong.
That nice little guardian fawn was butchered and killed during the battles.
Also a horde of Hippus are about to stomp on the one guarding the Peace Pine one, While the Dovello are about to kill the one near them.

The Way of the Leaves was founded in the Svartalfar city 3 tiles east of Yggdrasil. (built next to the ruins of a pillaged previous town.) Shame it wasn't the town built right next to Yggdrasil, that would have been... poingent.

@Dean, God of Greed
I like the idea of a True Grigori nation, unfortunatly the only way so far that we know how to make it mid game, is to gift the prescribed techs to make a vassal, break one of, then give it freedom, then take the techs away... Which leaves you with a grigori civ with a random leader. So while it seems good i'm not sure we could get Cassiel leading them as game wise, Verdian IS Cassiel with the name Gerran....

@Zacman, God of Stasis
No problems with taking the new hero for some plots. I assumed you'd do so but by gifting the Ulric unit to the Grigori saying he was born in the winter town and has visions telling him to go lead the Illians on a new path.
As to the map thing being passed around i assume you mean to place it in the corner because the flat map without wrap being used could thus imply a larger landmass that Gerran is not allowed into?
My own views on the Land mass would be to have a chain of islands that could be turned into a land bridge at a later date by some cosmis event.

@Apenpaap, Goddess of... Magic (that was it!)
Nice intro to the Emergance of the Veil! gets a few new religions on the map. now the only ones missing are the Lugus' and Esus' little cults

Proposed Changes:
Add a little Choas Marauder on a moutain to watch and scare Tebryn. The little tyke who escaped my hell.

@Ryansee, Arawn God of Death
Nice on taking up the Death Mantle. Don't know if anyone answered your last request for simple summery on back info so here it is.

Tower of Arawn - Founded by Vandal (As Arawn) A few worshipers there including the mystery leader Rose.
Stevensons Raid - Pushed by me, (Camulos god of war) Stevanson killed the skeleton guardians, make repeated sermons to the townsfolk and pestered the populance. He destoryed the Graveyard Monument (recovered a tech i believe) then left with Rose and some townsfolk back north.
Fleeing - (done by myself) Some Arawn followers left by boat. They are possibly being given sanctuary in the barbarian lands. Others merely left on foot. Some stayed in the village but were pestered for taxes. (As Verdian as stated he did not order this or have a town placed close by to use the village so i will state that the so called 'taxing' was done by Harbringers in a protection rachett scheme.)
Revolt - Cael, a follower of Aeron, God of Rage. Incites the last of the Arawn followers near Grigori lands into a frenzy. They now train for the day to inflict revenge on the Grigori who they blame for their misfortune.

As you can see, the tower plot was mostly being wrapped up, but if you can find stuff you believe you can use in the story so far to your own ends then good for you!

I'm hoping to do a interchange between the two gods of Arawn and Camulos at some stage, if so i will post on here first so that you may read over it and make sure that i have presented Arawn as you want him to be seen.

@Thomas, Ohgma, God of Wisdom (?)
You may not be able to take techs away but you can allways decalre that Gerran has failed and give another civ Writing and push them as a chosen to make Gerran feel ashamed.

Little fact: The little nation you created on the island is actually friendly with the Grigori and getting involved in their political life. It was this Tya that Verdian mentioned that asked him to stop trading with the Clan.

I doubt i will do much if any intervening in this round. Just lots of set up for another inevitable war somewhere.

Anyway must rush off. Have fun guys!

A random leader for the Grigori civ will still work. If it isn't Cassiel, then the simple answer is to say either that Cassiel has died, or that the person in question is the governor of the province of the greater Grigori empire that we see. (Taking zacman's suggestion that the ones we see are but a fraction of the empire.)

It was you and Dean(IIRC) who moved Acheron from Ered to the new location. You forgot to move the Hoard with him! :P Now you should build a story around the dragon wanting to take the treasury back. We dont want the dragon to lose its creditability, do we? ;)
(BTW Order started to spread to Clan's land. I will remove it from orcish city to prevent (decrease chances for) Jonas going Order)

Also, no war planned even if Gerran declines to give back dwarven artefacts/cities back to the Khazad/Luchuirp? Or satisfy only one of these civs, enraging the other?

BTW: congratz for what you've done to the Caladeen Forest. ;) It looks like Vietnam in 1960s.

By editing the Worldbuildersave, you can add another Cassiel, and you won't need to make it Gerran's vassal state and then separate them. I could do it, but it will probably be unstable so if anyone else can do it it's better.

Go ahead. Tebryn is just a tool. You may scare and torture him all you want as long as he does my bidding.

hmm interchange eh . ur champion did some nice job to my followers :P. im still trying to find a way to solve this *peacefully*

Could you clarify? What should have happened was for a second Dragon Hoard to be made in the northern city near the Orcs. That was Mammon's payment/bribe of sorts for allowing the Code of Junil to be built in that city, delivered in the form of a bag of never-ending wealth.

I don't mind adding additional Hoard. I'd rather like to draw your attention to the fact, that the dragon might want to have his original hoard regained. It might be even the issue of his honour.

Wow, you know you've done good (bad) when your warzone is compared to Vietnam. That actually caused a small shiver of smpathy for the elves... a small one. (Damn peacemonger Thesias *grumble*)

Indeed i know what you mean about the dragon. But i figured it was a bit too powerful to let of the 'held' leash. As set up i have plans for low fly bys as the Dragon searchs for either his horde or the destroyer of his city. (now would be the time for someone to hint at stealing the horde or so on :-p)
Any help i can get on AI_ATTACK changes would be good... Would the dragon attack if i made it AI_SCOUT or AI_BEAST? which would be best to show a prowling monster, searching for something?

The reason i don't want to flash a dragon war right now is because i want to play with the political flak from all the other nations dealing with the barbs and the dragon. Who should they then blame for all their destroyed land? perhaps those naughty Grigori or those silly Dwarves? they took the dragons city after all...

Anyway, thats the way my thought process is fireing at the moment. I don't want to keep wars on a constant high. I want that little crescendo effect. The buildup of suspence tingled with fear. The rush as it all collapses into choas. Then the sudden ebb into a so called peace while both sides watch the other in trepidation.

Wondering about potential wars my fellow gods? Don't worry we are in the downtime for 50 turns. That just means small wars :-p to be honest i need more of the map revealed, more civs to work with means more potential wars gearing up.

Thanks for noticing the Orcs, i don't think Bhaal wants Order Orcs.

hmm interchange eh . ur champion did some nice job to my followers :P. im still trying to find a way to solve this *peacefully*

I love how people still assume Stevenson as my champion even though i waved my rights to him :-p while the man is amusing and violent he is not war-like. He doesn't start wars and his battles are mainly duels so far. I think i'll write up something to show my feelings on the guy.

Why would i want you to solve things peacefully? I'm the God of WAR. But Camulos needs some permission to play around with necromancy. That barbarians dragon skeleton is just asking to be raised. Also as i mentioned i may have a use for a spirit guide.

@Vandal - God of Rage
I don't know if you noticed but Verdian is saying that the Spire of Rage is mine! don't know if you want to do anything about that or let me take the flak.

Thesias laughed. “I heard rumors in Evermore of a band of animals, dwarves, and humans traveling through the forest. Your name came up, as well. And I need your help.”

Finnegan raised an eyebrow. “Oh?”

“I still don’t know what caused the rift between the two elvish courts in the first place. But while I was exploring the forest, I found something interesting. Are you familiar with the Spire of Rage?” Finnegan shook his head. “A rumor in New Grigoria mentioned it. It is a monument to Camulos. And it is right in between the Svartalfar and Ljosalfar. I think it may have something to do with their war. But it is guarded; I couldn’t get near it. I’m hoping you can help me get inside when you’re done here.”

^^

There.
I don't know if it was an honest mistake. If he's forgotten who gave the spire quest. Or whether its meant to be that Thesias believe the spire to be mine. Either way it means i'm getting the blame for the spire (and is using it as a reason for the rage and war)

You know... for a guy i added myself, one who was supposed to go on a quest for war. Thesias is fast becoming an annoyance. Perhaps i should curse him... meh maybe later.

And you guys said that Order wouldn't spread to the orcs :lol:

But yeah, remove any order that pops up, they're set in their Pagan rituals to me for now.

Wow, you know you've done good (bad) when your warzone is compared to Vietnam.
Well I obviuosly didnt mean that what was done in Vietnam was a good job (one can draw such simple conclusion while reading my post literally). I meant that you have done good job (as a god of war) in game terms; and; the fire zombies caused napalm-like effect.

Also, I didnt mean I expect you to make the dragon to retake the city just by single narrative entry. Threats should be enough. Maybe Gerran choses to give the city/hoard 'voluntarily' if given ultimatum. Well, it's up to you.

Ideally, I would restrict my role to balancing only. So, I would appreciate if someone takes the 'dwarven plot'. The situation is really interesting here with at least 4 stakeholders and it may end up with war/hostolities, depending of how much Gerran is able for compromise. Camulos, Kilmorph, Mammon, Aeron - any (all?) of you could conrtibute to this plot.
It may start with Gunther giving control over Ered to Khazad, while Luchuirp demanding compensation. Anyone willing to take this narrative?

hmm ravus if verdian makes me mad theres a big chance il fall + im against necro macy and will stop it. unlless i fall

to say truth im actually confused. it was said arawn pulled his power out of erebus but he always was against corrupted death magic. if i stay good should i have the power to take down any corrupted death magic ? or IF i fall depedning on verdian actions will i open it to a whole new level?
p.s so mr Stevenson isnt protected by you after all.. thats the only thing keeping me from him..
