Yep on the fogbusters... playing a game (emperor VQ08-Washington Mission Control) and we were unindated by barbs in the first two turnsets. We got thru it and have fogbusters everywhere to keep them away. That is a disadvantage of isolated start barbs will come on strong.

turn 12- 1 turn till pioly finishes hinduism has alredy been founded so i dont change it

turn 13- poly finishes i strt on agriculture as we need to farm that corn soon i suggest the next person gos for masonry next as we need it 4 he stone and mono

turn 14- warrior in forest ataked by wolf we win

turn 15- scout ataked by panther scout wins upgreade to woodsman 1

turn 16- scout strts healing on a forest hill

turn 17- scout ataked by lion nd loses

turn 18- warrior in forest ataked by wolf we win upgrade to woodsman 1

turn 19- nutin

turn 20- worker finishes i strt on a settler

yep. i think we've all done it at least one time. after all the typing and playing you just want to get back to the game.
 
Hey Adamlan you aren't the first one so don't sweat it. I don't know how many times I was at the end and was ready to leave realizing hadn't put the save in. After all that typing/pictures uploading blah blah it seems like something easy to forget.

Nah, nothing as sinister as that ;) . I just forgot to add it. It's not part of my signature, I try to remember to sign that way when I'm posting in the Jihadist/Pacifist threads.

Many have uttered wisperings in corners and shadows, however I do not feel our scribes, as great and wise as they are, will find this to be true. okay. well whatever you do, don't get less than 2 warriors defending as the barbs are coming steadily. we can keep switcing back and forth like i did and still get the units while we get the settler. once it is finished we can focus on some units and get that second city down with 2 escorts i think. we should discuss the placement.

Ok I am a little worried about our defenses and we need to get that archery and start building at least two archers for defense and another two to accompany settler. Not only will archers show up but after that for sure barb axes will arrive. Once we build the archers take the warriors and start fogbusting in the direction they are coming from. That will slow it down somewhat.

i am a little worried as well. but with archery in 5 turns and able to get a unit pretty quick, we shouldd be okay. with all the switching we never lost any production on the settler. at the end of DK set we should have at least 1 archer, maybe 2. i think it may be a good idea to get BW next. qany thoughts?
 
Agree the BW is probably the best for slavery/chopping and we should at all costs pop/forest try to get Stonehenge or Oracle for GP to get theology/Christianity. That will give us the necessary religion. Although DR isn't always what the AI rushes to. Since we are philosophical the GP points will be double.
