Could you zip and post the .csv file here?Any sugestions on what i can do? What kind of info do you need to be able to give me some help?
Your BTS assets are a little different. Have you installed BTS patch 3.02?At first try i had that locked problem to, but found a post directing me to use the custom game start.
Here is the ziped version of the csv file.
In advance thanks for your help.
You have 3 files that are different (Path=C:\Programfiler\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Beyond the Sword):Yes have innstalled bts 3.02. Had a problem with it not reading my dvd rom/burner at first, but a reinnstall and using my normal dvd player at reinstall solved that problem.
Here's a jpg of the base STEAM games folder, and the 3 install folders for CIV4
Spoiler :![]()
From what i can gather, it seems that having the 3 seperate asset folders is causing the problem. I have sent a ticked to STEAM support about the issue, as it is also releated to why i show MODDED in a multiplayer game. I do know that combining the folders breaks the STEAM launcher ability to play and show the games as installed.
It could also be a similar issue with the patches .dll. Since STEAM automaticly downloads and applies any patch that is out, from a msster version of the game on the download servers, it could be the master DLL has the older version as our german counterparts are experiencing. That would be why i cannot delete and simply re-aquire the proper dll, because STEAM would send me the wrong one from the master.
I appreciate any help that has been given. I am new to the HOF, and desperatly want to submit and play these games. Thanks to all who are helping resolve this issue for me, and anyone with the steam version.
Just like to bump the issue. Of course, STEAM has already patched me to 3.03, so it may be futile at this point. But still, i get the Assets error in warlords and plain. (which are the same patch as BTS)
With the STEAM's directory structure, it seems unlikely that Warlords or BTS will work without some changes to recognize STEAM saves. I would think that vanilla at least would work but apparently they messed that up too.Update: The new patch and new HOF Mods have not fixed my issue. I still recieve the assets warning in all 3 versions of CIV4. If there is anything else i can give file, folder, or ss wise, please let me know. I've been looking for a fun way to challenge myself in civ for awhile now, and am quite happy i found it in the HOF and Gauntlets. I want to get this working.
Where are your Civ 4, Warlords and Beyond the Sword folders placed?
First, welcome to the Hall of Fame, Gammagooey.Ok, I'm having trouble with the HOF mod and the Civ 4 gold edition (contains regular and warlords) I ran the asset checker and got:
Civ4 Installed assets all good!
Warlords Installed assets all good!
Errors found with HOF mod
Is there a seperate version for gold edition or a different place to put the mod or something?
current file path is:C:\Program Files\2K Games\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4 Gold\Warlords\Mods\HOF-2.13.001
