Hi, Denniz, Methos!
Does it mean that other players were very happy with their time victory when they have accessed domination limit on the last turn.

Why???!!!
You have to exceed both the land and pop limits to win a domination victory. My guess is that your pop was too low. It seems unlikely but it is possible. The alert for pop is off by default as people normally exceed that first and the message gets annoying.
 
Is it possible to have something shows which cities are in "Avoid Growth" mode from the domestic advisor?
I have been working on the Modified Special Domestic Advisor for BTS. The Specialist tab has an Automation tab that shows all those settings. "Avoid Growth" is a red :food:.

Can't wait. It'll be nice having it back on here to play my single player games with. I've come to depend on it too much. :lol:

Interesting. Your is BTS and his is Vanilla. It could be a bug or a bug fix in BTS. I am not sure what we can do. I will ask the SDK types to look.

You could also mention it in the Civ4 BTS - Bug Reports sub-forum. Maybe Bhruic will look at it. :mischief:
 
BTS has changed the victory checks. I've tried doing a simultaneous space + domination victory and the domination victory overrode the space, even though F8 showed that the space ship would land the next turn. Confused, I checked F8 after my domination victory and it had shifted my spaceship ETA by 1 turn till the next turn, thereby eliminating it as a victory condition. I'm guessing this same bug/feature must apply to other victory condition combinations as well. It's quite annoying to be honest...

Slowly. Most of the Python is done. The SDK stuff is taking awhile. There are some major compatibilty issues with the different Commercial versions and the backdoor patch to Vanilla and Warlords via BTS 3.13. We are working on it as RL allows.

I don't think it's simple to build a Mod, and the time you spare for this is a gift for all the CFC community.

This said, the "unofficial patch" can go together with the official 3.13?
Or is a replacement?
And, more imporant, can it go with the incoming 3.13.001 HoF mod?

In other words, can i have some more info, please?

first, since it is my first post in this thread, :goodjob: for the hard work in making Civ4 a better game ! I do really appreciate this.

One minor suggestion, and since I've never been in the delicate lands of modding, I do not know if it is trivial/easy/hard/undoable... In my gauntlets attempts, I find myself doing many times "reload starting auto-save and reload". So many times that a shortcut would be, well, just grrrrreat (and even better than the Alt-G we have when we are still in 4000BC...).

So if you have spare time for silly users :D :D...

Hi Denniz, I agree with "uncle". Map Finder is nice when looking for a promising starting position. But when playing Gauntlets especially on lower levels you perhaps want to check the outcome of the 1st goodie hut. So no chance for this with mapfinder. You have to press the above described key sequence ...

First because I never was good at mapfinder :blush:
Second because in case where mapfinder would be the answer, I can always go ALT-G already... I am more concerned to reload-restart on given parameters when I want to chaeck things like "Do I have horses close ?" or "Am I isolated ?" or "Is my landmass big ?" (no no this has nothing to do wih current gauntlets with Cyrus in mind, no no.... :mischief:), the kind of stuff the mapfinder would not help with since it requires 30-40 turns play. Of course I can still manually open and reload. It's just that I am lazy AND there is a thread for suggestions ;) . But I may also have a look at the way this kind of things is implemented and see if I can do it myself, for sure.
