What map options did I just lose?

Do I need to uninstall Bts entirely > reinstall > patch 3.13 > patch 3.19 > Buffy 3.19.003 to get "full functionality"?

The one I remember (because I really wanted to use it) was WorldWrap is missing on several maps. So you can't do cylindrical/toroidal.

That's what I've had to do in the past. You could try just uninstalling patch 3.19.

Sorry. They updated the server software. A bunch of things broke. Fixed all the critical stuff. Not sure why the graphs stopped working with the new release. The graph library was pretty old to begin with. Need to either fix or find another way to do it.

Okay, just submitted my first HoF game in years (previous one was Vanilla!), hope I did everything correctly.

In BUG mod, I can hover over the tech that will be bulbed on the left hand side of the F6 screen, it will show the order of all techs. In BUFFY, I can't see that, is there a setting somewhere?

Also, is there an easy way to see the domination limit immediately as you start a game? Change the warning settings?

Domination Limit is revealed by the Victory Screen - F8.

To change the warning settings it's Ctl-Alt-O then 'Alerts'.

If you use BULL or BAT, it's the gamecore.dll . Both mods cheat by injecting that file.

Edit: Never mind Sera. I ran the HoF check wizzard and I have 88 fuc$#@ errors!!? Too much of a pain in the a$$ to deal with so I'll just pass. Seriously man, take a look at all those errors lol! File attached.

Re-installing the game with BUFFY only shouldn't take too long, you only have to make a decision between forum-games or HoF-games .

It's just the Shaders for BTS (which can be found here) and the fact you don't have the Mods for Vanilla and Warlords installed (which you don't need for BTS). No big deal.

How does one get Assests checker to work with Steam? Cannot find Civ 4 path. That is the error I get.

I lately heard, that "the Steam version has to be downpatched before it'll work" . Seems like Steam patched the version with something that does not work with BUFFY, therefor, a downpatch is needed. No idea where to find it though, probably also on Steam.

I can verify it, as I'm 100% sure that I read it from someone that also had CIV from Steam.

It is in one of the buffy help threads - you have to download the 'beta' version from Steam to re-patch to the disc version because Steam added some 'update' of their own.

I found that after I'd given up on Steam and bought a second set of discs so haven't personally tried it but it is definitely in one of the Buffy threads either in the HoF section or the GOTM section.

I cant find HOF mod in the list of modes in my BTS. It present on my disc by I cant see it in my game.

I installed BTS vs STREAM service, instal HOF mode but game do not see it.

WIN 7 home.

Hi

You have to "downgrade" your version of CIV which you got via Steam, because Steam applied an update to it, and BUFFY doesn't work with this update.

Look at some of the most recent threads in the forum or also read this thread a little if you want, what you have was a very common problem lately. What you want is a CIV-version that's like the original disc-version.

No idea how this downgrade is done because I never had to do that step. Maybe Steam also offers something there, otherwise I'd search for "Civilization 4 Steam and Downgrade" via Google.
