Holy...Political Compass in Chinese!!!

Your translation is okay. :)

i was thinking about the China-specific situation to be translated correctly-- rampant popularism (I was borrowing the term "National Bolshevik" from Russia to describe "Fenqing" guys), hatred of elite/rich, and caring about "Low Income Assistantship", "Pork Price" and such.

Some terms really can't be explained to anyone from the outside world. :dunno: We just try the best we can to find the closest approximation.

I got:

政治立场坐标（左翼<->右翼）1，经济立场坐标（左翼<->右翼）0.05，文化立场坐标（保守<->自由）1

I have no idea what that means.

I can vaguely make it out (Remember, I am studying Japanese and there are certan characters that are not found within it's language, including Simplified Characters)

Political: 1
Economic: 0.05
Culture: 1

Are you sure? That doesn't sound like me at all.

I'd argue against perhaps culturally westernized, Mr. Yaoi, but I'm pretty sure that you would be against the regime, considering how anti-communist you are.

I can vaguely make it out (Remember, I am studying Japanese and there are certan characters that are not found within it's language, including Simplified Characters)

Political: 1--(Libertarian)
Economic: 0.05(Free-market)
Culture: 1(non-traditional)

That's it.

I don't think there're many people from the West who enjoys Chinese traditional value.

Edit: I confess, I'm a banana.

Edit: I retook the test, adjust a few, and I got 1.3, 1.55, 1.4.

I'm amadeus!!!! I can't imagine that.
Interpretation of the result said:
Political(Libertarian+), Economic(neoliberal+), Culture(liberalism+).

All in (-2, +2) range.

There're 12 clickable charts at the end of the page, all in English.

Re-announce: the most left option of a question is "strong disagree(强烈反对)"

How does this test even exist? Isn't anything that goes against the Chinese government censored anyway? I thought everyone was supposed to agree with the Chinese government!

And, the 40th question was made by a nutcase (Luckily I live in the United States so I'm safe to say that:mischief:) Taiwan is its own country, get over it.

I'd like to see you singlehandedly change the opinion of the PRC on that matter.

The Chinese government isn't 1984. There is some freedom, especially concerning the Internets (they're hard to censor).

EDIT: I think I'll take this (though the questions change order from test to test BTW. So the directions on the first page should be changed).

EDIT: It froze on about the 20th question. I guess I'll try again later...

How does that work then? What are their laws about internet usage and freedom to speak against the government?

Oh Joy. I guess I will too, though the results will probably look nuts.

Is there any way to get a score without having to download chinese characters for my internet browser?

Whoa I got a weird result....

Political: 0.8 (Libertarian, equivalent to a -4 on the normal PC)
Economic: 0.2 (Centrist, leaning Neo-liberal, equivalent to a 1 on the normal PC)
Cultural: -1.2 (Conservative, equivalent to a 6 on the normal PC)

hmm....must be something wrong with this ;)

Remember, its based on China, a Communist Party ruled nation. Chinese politics =/= US politics.

@Plarq or anyone else in China- How does the Communist Party stay in power all the time? Do they use sham elections? Do they just forget elections and remain dictators forever?

If it is anything like the Soviet Union, they have free elections, its just there is only one party on the ballot.
