Plotinus, I'm taking this bump opportunity to ask you a question.

I've been reworking my mod recently (it's probably only the 237th time), to include two African civs, with lots of nice flavour units for ancient and medieval eras...

And suddenly an idea popped in my mind (it happens every couple of years, take or leave a few months).

"Hey! It would be great of Plotinus made some gunpowder / industrial / modern infantry units to complement his wonderful African guys".

You will object I haven't ask a question so far, and you'll probably be right.

added: If someone manage to find out something more about their ancient/medieval training, equipment, tradition (some pics maybe?) etc., i I would be even more happy.

Steph, sorry for interruption and OT but...
Hehe, It reminds me on - me! Every time I sad "I'm done!" to myself, someone make another great unit that JUST fits perfectly or fill the gap and then I came into "I'll add this one and that's it!" conclusion...

[Pessimus Dux] There are probably better sources available, but the pedia for my African scenario (see sig) has a bit of information on that sort of thing.

[Steph] Well, since you haven't asked a question, I don't need to give an answer. But I'm afraid it's very unlikely that I'll make any of those, since I don't really need them myself and I'm not very interested in modern units, and like most people I prefer to make things that interest me. I think the unit-makers who are currently making gunpowder/modern infantry units might be more likely to be persuaded to add an Ethiopian or two to the mix, but who can say?

[Plotinus] I downloaded your African scenario, and yes, there are some stuff (actually the majority of them) that I looked for. Furthermore, I completely forgot to check out the images you put on the first page, these were also very useful.
Btw, scenario looks great, and there is much info about other precolonial empires in Africa, like Mali for example (the second African civ that I'll try to squeeze in my default mod).

I saw it, but when I said "gunpowder" unit, I meant a unit with a weapon that actually use powder.
