Good luck getting techs for peace. You have to take many cities before they are willing to give up techs. In my solo deity victory, I had captured about 15 arab cities, and they were still insulted when I asked for one tech for peace. There was nothing I could do but take them out...

I see from the save that we are still at war with Japan even though we have no more alliance with Chinks and Zuls vs Japan.
Please make peace with Japan as we have enough of one war on our hands. Also we dont want Japan and Rome signing an Alliance vs us as this would reduce our chances of getting peace from Rome at one point.
My advice is to sign peace with Japan asap.

Guys - really sorry about this, but work has just gone really manic. I still have not had a chance to read all the posts since last Monday yet, let alone play and write up my turns.
Its not fair on me to hold up the game for you guys - nor rush my turns and therefore not play properly. So with some regret I think I should pull out for now. I'm gutted because I think we were doing well and were heading to a potential win (so Sullla thought and who am I to argue with Sullla!).
When I get the chance (!) I will of course keep up with the thread.
I hate not finishing something I've started, but unfortunately real life comes before civ life every now and then.

Good to hear the game is back on again. I've been at work nearly 24/7 this week and am back out to Atlanta next week, so keep going without me - if the game is still going when I get some time back to myself again hopefully I can step back in again.
