How about a Deity SG for a newbie or 2?

Early :
Zulus have Satellites but can not trade it.
UN Elections come up which I refuse.
Get some prebuilds going (with Tactical nukes and Mil Academy)
Zulus has 4 parts 0 being built (1725)
Middle :
Uskudar builds the Palace as Life support prebuild.
Chinese enter the Space race (1740)
The AIs are mirroring exactly our Tech choices and have the same research rate (7 turns)
which prevents me from doing some trades...
End :
We discover Superconductor and build instantly Fuel Cells and Life Support in one turn, just The Laser and Satellites left.
I start research on Nuclear Power to get to The Laser, hoping we can trade one of thsoe for Satellites.
the AIs are behind with no chance of overtaking us.

I leave the game at 1750 as it is a round number and allowing Speaker to veto my Tech choice if he desires.

Also the game should be over in 14 turns just in time for his last reign...or if he wants can hand over to Voodoocat for the last few turns to Victory !

IT- Skyfish has left us in great position. Only change I make is to up science from 90 to 100%. We have good money and it shaves one turn off of science.

Early- Trade Ecology to China for 19gpt and their full treasury. Every penny helps and Ecology is already known by the Zulu anyways. Japan cancels our spices deal and I do not renew as they require Synthetic Fibers to renew and I do not want to trade it. We are behind by Satellites to the Zulu and ahead by Synthetic Fiber, so I am loathe to let them catch up without catching up ourselves. Trade Superconductor to China for 46gpt and his treasury. Re-sign our silk deal with Zulu and extort an extra 14gpt from them.

Middle- Finish Nuclear Power and start on the Laser. Somehow China and Zulu both get Synthetic Fiber and Nuclear Power on the same turn. I then trade them both to Japan for Spices, 31gpt and their treasury. I add a bunch of workers to cities, making out all of our major cities. I raise our gpt by about 30gpt this way. Stupid Shaka has gone for Advanced Flight and not the Laser. We finish the Laser and start on our last tech, Satellites.

Late- SS Planetary Party Lounge is built with a proper pre-build. Zulu only need one more part as well. I run our science at 100%, at a deficit of around 250gpt. Zulu get the Laser one turn before we get Satellites. It's a race to the finish. Zulu finish the PPL the same turn we finish our last part, but they let us launch first.

Final Score is 6391: a spaceship victory in 1786AD. We will forever be known as Osman the Magnificent. Great playing by all. We started as Deity newbies and now we are grizzled veterans (well, sort of). See you all in CF2.
 
Great! That was a fairly easy deity game if you ask me. Obviously that is attributed to the fact that we were solid in our gameplan. We could have easily wiped the other civs from the planet. I don't think this game was ever in doubt. Good game fellas

Thanks a lot guys, we had a strong plan and stuck to it.
We really did well for "sort of"newbies, our playing style was complementary and that added extra spice to the game.
