I have been trying to make the jump from Noble to Prince. I have found that I can typically establish myself as the second or third most powerful country but always seem to lose the endgame.
For example, I have attached a game saved in 1916. In this game I conquered 2/3 of the Persian Empire - the last third swallowed by Japan.
I am the third most powerful country after Japan and the Incas.
I currently have decent relations with each of the countries. I actually tried to play this game to the end and lost when Japan won by diplomacy shortly before a spaceship victory.
Any thoughts on how to actually win the game? I think I need to attack Japan but their army is much larger than mine.
