Have to admit to some embarrassment at having to ask this after 18 months of Civ4 playing but...

....how do you tell which cities the AI wonders are in?

If a wonder is in one of the top 5 cities then the Top 5 Cities/Wonders info screen tells you. But for the other wonders, the only way I can tell is by zooming in on cities in the main screen. That's pretty hit-and-miss because wonders can be hard to spot mixed up with the other city buildings (and since I play for the mental challenge, not for the graphics, I have to admit I'm not sure what some of the wonders look like anyway).

It feels like the kind of thing that there ought to be a list somewhere in one of the menus, but I've never found one. Anyone know either way?

You can see all the built wonders on the top 5 cities screen (on the right hand side). If you select them I believe you can see what the graphic looks like too.

The Top 5 Cities/Wonders screen has list of all wonders in the top right. You need to see the city on your world map though.

Ah, yes, I get it now, thanks. You have to have the city in your line of sight, not in the fog of war, for that screen to tell you the cities.

Bit silly really. I mean, if you've seen the city at some point in the past, the game ought to know that you can know in principle that the wonder is there and so tell you. I mean, it's not like wonders go walking between cities.

Without satalites, no.
