The cheapest gas staion in town just went over the two dollar mark (its now $2.07 a gallon). I'm in Southern California by the way.

So how much is it going for (high, middle and at the cheapest place) in your neck of the woods?

I can't remember exactly, but I think it's $1.91 for premium and $1.71 for regular where I usually go. It has been more than a week since I got gas though, so it's probably changed a bit.

I never look past low grade. A very reasonable $1.67 a gallon is what I paid last, which will last my vehicle about 35 miles.

That is about .50 Euro's a Litre if my conversion is correct... which it doesn't seem to be :undecide:

Depends on the sort of gasoline. On the average it's approximately 10 Rubles a litre - about $.30, If a gallon=3.785 litres, then a gallon of gasoline costs $1.14, I assume.

Wow, it's $2.30 where I am!

Ahem.

POST 1000 WOOOOO! (like it actually matters!) WOOO!

Still hanging around 1.69 to 1.89.

wait... Jeratain, you are SF, therefore your gas prices are supposed to be highest in the country, while mine are actually higher?

Well, the cheapest I found was about 40 miles out of SF - but still in the Bay Area. Fremont had a gas station for 2.08 - cheapest I've seen, but it was a generic gas company.

Our gas prices are still very high.

And to think, I'm taking a trip to LA today.. there goes my spending money.

(My 1000 post too! :D)

This is one of the reasons living in Georgia is great. :)

Remember about 2 years ago when gas was only 0.98/gal ?

I have even seen it drop to 0.88/gal here before (granted it was a grand opening of a new gas station but still).

I posted this about a month ago:

When it comes to petrol, you North Americans are all b-st-rds.

Cheapest British forecourts: £3.50 per gallon.

That works out as about $5.60 per gallon

NB. This is for an imperial gallon, which, IIRC, is 32 ounces bigger than a US gallon, i.e. the equivalent of 10 US pints. For those who really care, this is because our pints are 20 fl. oz., instead of your 16.

Stupid anglo-saxion measures!
Use the continental/metric system instead.
then I would be able to understand the problem.

I don't know how much gasoline cost in the Netherlands, I never tank.
But I guess about 1.60 euro a liter, that is about $1.80.
And then these Americans say their gas is to expensive...
I prefer high gas/energy prizes, as its better for the enviroment

In fact, petrol is generally sold in litres here now, but most people I know convert it to gallons. Particularly as consumption is measured in mpg. God knows what km/l is all about :ack:

1,05 to 1,15 € a litre.
Cecasander, are you certain about your prices ? They are nearly the double than ours, and we were renowned for having the most expensive gas of Europe.

We don't measure in km/l, we measure in l/100km. :p

Gas around here is around $0.85 (Canadian) per litre. That's about $0.57 U.S. per litre.

Oil country is around $1.50 a gallon. I heard that in Iraq it can be bought for $.50. Of course getting it to a market is problematic.
