How to get past Password Protection in Multiplayer?

My mates play Civ 4 online and they change passwords all the time and when i want to join midgame i can't if i don't know the password. Anyone know of any ways i can get the password or bypass it?

Maybe they don't want you to play?

I'm just teasing, of course, but once a game begins with a password you have to have it. If they use a chat program that's your best bet, or if you have a phone number... there is no in-game mechanic to ask the players of a protected game for the password.

You need to get the password from them, no way to bypass it that I know of.
