same orders as last time mate

From the Kingdom of Rajo
To Cartar

There are many plots in the other surrounding nations to destroy you. It would be wise to join us and be safe, then both our peoples may be strong and live for eternity

To the rest
Very well, your fate is cealed, now the surrounding nations will surely destroy you. Our offer of joining is still open though

UPDATE 4 – 580 AF

We start down in Tribunal where the expansion has come to a halt due to the development of neighbouring kingdoms. Seeking to consolidate their position the Tribunal opens open trade with several of the neighbouring realms. This has a positive influence on the economy of the nation and as more and more trade starts moving along the river the capital city of Vivec City sees an influx of merchants and traders. The overall result of this is the city turning into an economic centre for the region.
(+ Vivec City economic centre)

Moving upriver from the Tribunal we come to Syldavia. Not pleased with the size of his lands and annoyed at the tribes daring to set up nations in what is rightfully Syldavian territory the king strengthens his army and then orders most of it north in an all-out attack.
The suddenness and brutality of the attack takes the nations of Phala and the lands of the Fiat tribe by surprise and the Syldavian army makes good progress before stalling. Joining their forces together the two nations then counter the Syldavians inflicting heavy losses, but also suffering heavy casualties themselves. Using the knowledge of the land the Fiat tribe retreats to a more defensive location after which the Phalians hit the flank of the overexposed Syldavian army forcing them back. So far the Phalian capital of Inkonia has held, but the Syldavian army is almost at the gates.
(Syldavia: -350 warriors, - 45 archers. Phala: -320 warriors)

Ironal continues its peaceful overtures towards its neighbours sending missionaries and traders to the surrounding nations. Though the leadership is wary many tribesmen do convert to the religion of the Ironal which is, ironically perhaps, the same as in the Tribunal. This also sees trade picking up making Ironal Mar a real economic force to deal with. Another side effect of this is the desire of several neighbouring villages joining with Ironal in return for protection.
(Ironal: +Ironal Mar economic centre)

We now go to visit Rajo which has been working hard diplomatically, seeking to unite the neighbouring lands with their own. So far without much luck as most leaders have just dismissed the Rajan messengers. Only Catar listened, but has still been doubtful so far. Continuing the construction of war canoes the Rajans now have the strongest navy in the known world, little as that is, and also starts training the leadership of the army as well as constructing better roads to tie the nation together. Lack of funds means that both projects fail to complete though some progress is made on them.
More importantly, however, they continue their expansion south along the river using the military to aid them. Normally this would not pose too much of a problem, however since the lands of Mearlekrol lies on the other side of the border this sees the Rajan army invade another nation and, perhaps unwisely, invading a stronger nation. At first the Rajan army makes some headway partly thanks to utilising their navy to scout ahead and partly thanks to the fact that the attack has taken Mearlekrol completely by surprise.
After coming over the shock of the attack the Mearlekrolian army regroups and counterattacks the invading Rajans. First the invaders are stopped and then the superior numbers start to tell as they are pushed back over the border. The Rajan fleet gives some intelligence to the army preventing a complete rout, but it is not enough to prevent them from being pushed back further. Luckily for the Rajans the Mearlekrol stop to take the fort suffering heavy losses doing so and halting their advance.
(Rajo: -150 warriors, - confidence. Mearlekrol: -250 warriors)

We move north from here to the nation of Ibe where a soldier named ~darkening~ rises to power in the capital of Isis. True to his background he immediately raises a large army and then sends it south over the border into Succubu.
The attack goes well due to the heavy concentration of forces giving Ibe a large numerical advantage at their point of attack. Having the Succuban army spread out makes it harder to it to respond and the Iberians make very good progress only really stalling when they reach the end of their supply lines. So far there have only been a few minor skirmishes, but with their capital under threat the Succubans are pulling all available troops home to protect it.
(Ibe: -75 warriors. Succubu: -45 warriors)

Northwest of Ibe we find the strong Tiestan Empire. With the nation having grown to a large size this means more problems with communication between the outlying parts. Whilst continuing the expansion the primary focus for the Tiestan Empire is making sure the income from their southern city makes it to the treasury. It is not an easy task, but eventually a solution is found growing the economy.
The Emperor also ordered new equipment for his troops to make them better at protecting the lands, but all that command gave him was a new master of coin as the old one lost his job after failing to carry out orders using the feeble excuse that there wasn’t any coin for it.
Sending the existing troops west to further expand the empire they attack a neighbouring tribe. The numbers, the skill and the equipment sees them make good progress, completely beating the force of the neighbouring tribe and then forcing their surrender.
(Tiesto: - 35 warriors)

In the far west we come again to Dashtaka. Surrounded by mainly friendly neighbours they focus again on internal development seeking to increase trade with the neighbouring lands. This sees some success as the ties between the nations grow ever stronger and trade starts to flow.
(Dashtaka: + Dashtar economic centre)

From west to east to a visit in Higoria where the king expands his army massively and then starts a push north. The scattered northern clans are easily swept aside as the armies march. Whilst some casualties are sustained, almost as many are from illness and accidents as from actual fighting.
(Higoria: -90 warriors)

In Almega the patriarch of the Sinton Dynasty raises a mighty army and attacks westward with such force that he completely overruns the neighbouring tribe. This aggressive move is observed with some trepidation in Dashtaka and Drokhas.
(Almega: -150 warriors)

Cironelle also goes on the offensive against their barbarian neighbours, greatly expanding the realm. Superior leadership and massive amounts of troops making all the difference.
(Cironelle: -170 warriors)

Also, the nations of Siberia and Slava go to war.
(Siberia: -120 warriors. Slava: -100 warriors)

Economic Centres will give +1 EP next turn.

Note:
To upgrade normal troops to the stronger version you must pay the difference in the cost of recruiting them. This means upgrading from warriors to armoured warriors will cost 1 EP for every 100 troops, rounding up in case of odd numbers. There’s also a one time cost of 1 EP when doing this regardless of the number of troops to take into account the new training they need to learn how to best maintain their equipment etc. This means that upgrading say 345 warriors would cost (4*1 + 1) = 5 EP. 4 for the number of troops and 1 for the extra training. Whilst expensive I think it best to prevent an easy mass upgrade.

Next Deadline:
Sunday, July 16th at 10,00 CET. After that it will be every Friday as listed on page 1.

Here be the map :p

I can easily change the barbarians. I agree with the cities and I tested a few different combinations before putting the capitals on the map. I just didn't really like any of them as the border then seemed too thin. If you want to give it a try just take the map, change the capitals and then post it here. Then we can easily use that instead :)

I figured out why you didn't get my orders. I sent them last night again and I wasn't in the update. I looked in the sent messages and I have been sending to someone with a similar name as you.

Anyway, I will make sure that they get you from now on.
