He is too clever for that! He is destroying the enemy from the inside...

We would keep the flag pretty much the same just with a bit less blue and continue to ignore the Welsh.
If they declare independance, there may well be a war. There's no way that we would stand for it. God save the queen!

I expect England would rejoice as the persistent drain to its coffers committed fiscal suicide.

How about you instead demand that Wales changes it flag to look pretty much the same as current Scottish one? Or maybe make it even closer to the UK flag by including white crosses in both directions, instead of justifying that on the UK by the old heraldic rule that color should not touch color?
Wouldn't Scotland get all the oil from the North Sea? That would surely harm English economy.
No, quite a lot would still belong to the uk.
How so? I understand the main oil rigs are off the coast of Scotland, and the pipelines and terminals are mostly going through/are located in Scotland.
I think Scotland would become another Norway if there was no England to share the revenues with.
the oil companies involved aren't scottish so i'm guessing a lot of the money goes to them, and they really couldn't become another norway i mean if they could be so succesful why aren't they contributing more to the uk economy
Scotland is a net contributer to the U.K. economy. But not for much longer as North Sea oil is running out fast.
Deluded? Scotland has done pretty well under the union. Independence would raise alot of problems.

Would they remain in such fine economic straits without the union? One more reason to become independent fast to accumulate the revenues.
