Think of it as a dam that is that is old and in danger of collapse. You would like to take it away but first you drain some of the water from behind it befor you do so. We need to build up the rest of the world and solve education and coruption issues befor removing all bariers to movement.

Kayak's example is probably as perfect as an example can be. Ideally we want to get rid of the dam but there's all the water that would flood the valley and drown most everyone living there. The current plan is to slowly but assuringly let water into the valley and give the people living in the valley time to move up to higher ground. Eventually once everyone is safe and taken care of, we let the water in and wait for it for levels on both sides to equalize. Eventually it will equalize and we can get rid of the dam once and for all.

Legalizing mass immigration works in a continent like Europe because most every country on the continent is at a pretty level wealth level and there really wouldn't be much of a culture shock. I do admit economics plays apart but relating to your blasting of a poster I rather would not be, if your plan goes through, I might as well be in Somalia as conditions in the developed nations would become far worse at the sudden flood of the dam break.

Plus how is a monument supposed to generate money? Call me an amateur in economics, but I think building projects cost money, not make it. Tourism on the monuments are not lucrative for large nations that require mass amounts of maintenance. Also again, where's the money going to come from to fund public services for the mass influx of immigrants? Money maybe the only reason why we can't legalize mass immigration but money is what pays for maintenance of hospitals and schools and public services. Will these mass immigrants pay taxes? If not, what happens when the money for these services runs out? Everyone will be stranded without ANY hospitals or schools or public services! Can you not understand that? If mass immigrants don't pay taxes, no new money goes into public services! If there's no new money for public services, said public services go down! If said public services go down, not only do we end up with no healthcare or education or necessities but mass immigrants would be in a far worse situation than from their home countries as they would have had SOME form of these necessities! Then they would have to uproot their families AGAIN and spend more resources on going back to their home countries AGAIN to escape the destroyed industrialized nations. I honestly don't know how I can explain it more clearly than that! IT IS A NOBLE IDEA! But unless the mass immigrants PAY TAXES to the governments of the countries that they're immigrating to, this 'plan' would make the entire world impoverished!

Pasi, reading through this thread, I think most people actually tried to argue with you on serious grounds to show the limitations of your solution...
You seem to see things in black and white only, and you fail to understand the basic mechanisms and dynamics of human societies. You can have the best intentions, but this utter ignorance of social and economic reality isn't any better than the ranting of religious fundies.
