Ials pbem #1

I wonder what are the prerequisites... Somewhere there was a thread about all the events...

Here you go ...

Event20:
Marathon
Prereq: You at war with other Player, other player makes first attack on your plot
Obsolete: None
Active/Weight: 100/800
Result:
1.Free Golden Age

I guess bombing a town with a fighter counts as first attack ????? Or both players get this chance ... but only once the other guy attacks your plot?

From this thread.

I saw that. Someone invaded me (HA!) and one of my soldiers ran to tell the world about it. This event didn't offer a range of possible rewards (so ... not so good) ... but the one reward it did offer was ...

Golden Age

:D:D:D

A free Golden Age on the top of everything, this is just insane :crazyeye:.

The Mali's ability to detect Portuguese ships in the vast dark ocean keeps puzzling our high command. :twitch:

I guess this will be at least one after action report that you will be interested in.

Got the turn this morning. Had to peak at what happened. This turn may take me a while to play.

BTW ... Tig ... I'll take some screenshots re finding (and sinking) that destroyer hiding in the northern ice for you. Ask when the game is over.

Also, I see the Manhattan project completed. While this is part of the game and I won't say anything re the use of nukes ... I think this game is very nicely placed at the moment and nukes may be a very disruptive influence.

I know that I am enjoying it. I think Tig is enjoying it. I'm not sure about Sinimusta ... but he is putting up one hell of a defense ... every time I look you have a dozen more infantry! And getting bounced to State Property for a turn is slightly annoying :).

Nukes are the only way to reason with Malinese city burners! :nuke:
Remember the saying: wars don't prove who's right. ..Only who is left...

I am not in a position to keep these cities at the moment. The good news is that the ones that are burning don't hold many buildings of antiquity.

One doesn't always need to be winning to enjoy the game ;). It's interesting to try a late-game defense scenario with some disadvantages in tech and production.

This was really a while ;) Too many Tanks to master? Still can be done after 70 hours :sarcasm:

Sorry all. Other things also getting in the way. I will send it through today.

Sry for delay.

Anyway, this was a big turn. The Japanese high command found out that Tokyo was razed, and decided it was time to put this to an end. The combined efforts of artillery and air force (thanks for our Portugues allies) softened the enemy and after the attack of our infantry and anti-tanks the armies raiding Japan were utterly destroyed. This day shall be remembered as a national holiday in the future of Japan!
:ar15:

Furthermore, this time the Japanese force didn't have to utilize medieval weapons anymore. Mali invaders are going to face a modern defender if they want to take out Japanese lands.

Well done Japan. Who knew that protective would be so ... protective.

More Mali thinking required.

I got the email ... no save attached.

Edit: I have it now.

End of last turn I popped a Great Engineer. Fun times ... wonder what I will do with him.

Start of this turn ... I have a tiny little bit of a 'glow in the dark' Great Engineer.

Spoiler :
Yep ... killed by a nuke.

Life is not linear. More Tanks will not always mean more power. Nuclear age came to replace the age of an armor.

Congrats go to Japan for the most valiant effort of defending against the enemy twice in score and in power. Religious leaders of "Hindu" continent brokered peace.

Thanks, this was a most interesting war, so in a way, I have to thank Ruff too. However a sovereign must think of the welfare of his subjects and not refuse a chance to take peace when war just means suffering and destruction to the people.

Soon Japan will return to its socialist ways and live in peace and harmony.

Where is the game at?

sinimusta has the turn. I even uploaded game to tracker which we can use to track even if we can't use it to download the saves.
