Does anybody else like the idea of being able to give ranged units the "mobility" promotion? I get lots of Chu-Ko-Nu for whom logistics is useless, and some lategame artillery strikes me as stuff that hits hard *and* fast.


Also, can artillery still get the expanded range promotion to allow it to bomb from 4 hexes away, or has that been removed.

Once the DLL is out, will there be underwater cities? Also, if there are, would there be underwater terrain or would you just have to use ocean tiles?
 
I like the idea of forcing the AI and myself to complete all the tech's in an era before moving on. However, when you get to the most advanced tech, 75 turns to complete 1 is a little much. Especially when historically technology comes faster in the modern era.

Is there a way to make it so everyone has to complete the techs in an era before moving on, without having to take so very long to research modern and future tech's?

What is your research per Turn? Have you built most of the relevant Science Buildings? Reason I am asking is the Tech Costs after Renassiance/Industrial are guestimates and may well be set to high.
 
I ended up with approx 600-800 sci points per turn.. and it was still taking ~42 turns. Some of the easier ones cost 28000 points and some seem more.

(They were taking up to 75 turns before I completed the very top of the line (in science points) world wonders.)

A recommendation (if possible) is for the the WWW to give a major tech bonus (+400) to the one who builds it, and then have a minor wonder that everyone else can build (call it Internet Research or Wiki) and give everyone else a smaller bonus (+200)

**edit** I can only review the XML files as I do not have a good grasp of SQL or a good SQL editor
 
It would be nice to go back to a civ 1 idea and be able to either transport food from one city to another or have the game do it for you in the background.
 
is it possible to make it so you can start in later eras? it would take me over 6 hours to get just to the modern era i can't use save games the game crashes and i'd like to see the digital and information era stuff i can never get to them!

In short, yes, large undertaking though for who ever does get around to it, not something that is on my list of things to do atm.
