Just out of curiosity, if a thread gets deleted, my post count gets lower, right?

I ask because I had just taken a screenshot with a postcount of 1337, then I went around posting, noticed a certain troll thread in my user cp was missing, then posted some more and suddenly noticed my count at 1338.

That bites.

What happens if someone posted like say 24 posts and they ALLLLL got deleted? Their postcount would be 0?

China444,

There is a message here that you should personally take note of because you are currently one of the bad examples that we can specifically point to and say:

"Here is an example of what we do not want you to be doing, if you expect to be well regarded and contributing member of this community."

Posting lots of one liner, basically nonsense posts just to inflate your post count is a sign that you do not grasp the fucntions and importance of this resource that you are given access to use. Sit back and think about what you want to say and don't just look at every visit to this site as an opportunity to spam a one-liner response into every possible message thread that you can find.

If we did an admin level search using china444 as a keyword and then set that word count criteria low and deleted all the nonsense and non contributing posts that we found by that search it would easily wipe out 400 to 500 posts that you have personally made in the past 30 to 45 days.

Associated with this, the search would eliminate well over 100 posts of nonsense spin off problems and spam that are directly associated with you in this behavior.

I am not picking on you. This behavior is obvious and it stands out as a choice that you are making and which you have the ability to stop. You have already had one timeout for behavior problems in this area and you would be wise to take this opportunity to do a self inspection and make a conscious decision to grow up a notch before you fully reach the status of requiring outside intervention - again!! - cracker

People care far to much about the count, it means nothing.

It's just a number, get over it.

Still, it's cool to see your name steadily rising in the members list. I was on page 5 but now I'm on 4. And soon to reach page 3...

Even with that said, I really didn't notice when the thread "I hate America and George W. Bush!" was deleted that my post count went down one.

Ah that's bad therefore I officially apply to every poster:
Do not open silly threads where I'm tempted to post ;) and afterwards loose my PC because it got deleted. My PC is hard work, it's very hard to raise it without spamming but I think I'm a good example that it's possible to raise it with good quality stuff.

I know I'm a good poster :flamedevi oh no ähh of course it's this one

How about a small boost of let's say 100 for my excellent behaviour and because I'm such a handsome guy?:)

Yep, not that it matters a hill of beans. Nor for that matter does is affect recent posters much. Most mass deletions are the oldest thread, with some veteran posters having over a thousand postcount. Our first famous spam dog here, since departed is fading fast.

What if someone has 320 posts, uploaded a custom avatar and 25 post get deleted?

Does the avatar disappear?

Nope the avator stays. Since this happened to a few people who posted in the Civ3 demo game spam forum...

Yep, and to a couple of other people. I remember seeing china444 with 299 posts and his Uncle Pennybags avatar.

That's not fair. Don't they even lose the ability to change it? :p

Well that's good. It makes me feel better for some reason. :p ;)
