If you could witness any point in history...

It's quite true. Look at the Vietnam war, where "the girl in the picture" stirred up more popular opinion than sheets of numbers ever could.
People can empathise with a picture or a story, but not a number.

tell you what, if he had said:1 death is tragedy, 1 million death is statistc, when youre advertising to morons, id agree with him

what others percive something as, dose not change what it really is

While I always denonuce the soviet beast - Old Stalinorgel had a point.

How many people gave a crap about the millions killed in Africa during the 1990s? Not many.

But show the same people a baby on a ventilator, and the tears will squirt!

:(

change the word people with assclowns in that post, and im with you

again he didnt say to the masses 1 death is a tragedy etc

he said 1 death is a tragedy, a million is just numbers

well 1 million deaths is 1 million tragedys, go ask the dead peoples realtives

If you mean the soviet slave peoples of the 1930s-1940s - You would find their attitude to death a little more callous that us.

These people had a gallows humour, as will happen in a society that is used to death and killing.

.....

You might end up wiping your tapes, when you find out JC is nothing like you imagine!

no he wasnt

i think growing that mustasche drained too much energy from his brain, for him to come up with such nonsense(thats when he wasnt doing his best to lose the ww2 and interfere with the few generals he had left alive!!)

It's damn true-I mean, for example, compare media coverage on 9/11 with Iraq.
Or when someone dies (like Reagan for example) everyone cries; when there's a war etc. on, noone does.

Another good one from Koba the Great, actually is, he was told the Pope wouldn't approve of him invading Poland.

"The Pope? How many divisions does he have?"

Or talking of politics:

"Those who cast the votes mean nothing. Those who count the votes mean everything"

I'd kinda like to see the Bismarck blow the shat out of the Hood. (and then see the friggen entirety of the Atlantic fleet blow the shat out of the Bismarck).
