I have been playing with these "popheads for a while now and they are really informative at a quick glance.

There is so much great stuff there besides this so you need to get on over there and check them out.

Verbose popheads

Just recently we have seen the addition of some great new interface mods that might tempt you to try something different. come on down:goodjob:

To each his own. I just like people to know that there are options out there.

I used to actually make graphics. Maybe I'll get back into it someday. But I am working on a scenario, and an epic mod which I haven't been working on that much as of late.

Probably doesn't help much to discern Maya and Sumerian citizens. I always hate that on the power bar, since they usually end up next to each other.

I use the 31 colours mod so I don't get that very often. I did have a couple of games where the Yanks and Sumer were the same but that has gone away.

Where is this 31 colors mod and why don't I have it? ;)

you can always go into the editor and assign each civ with a color to be sure there are no matches.

I use that, but its in the folder fro each of my scenarios.

Before i began using that, i remember China and Arabia would both have that light shade of pink and i could never tell them apart...

Anyway, i always wanted one of those terrain mods that look nice, but do i set a folder up for it in the same manner as the colors?

after I dl'd the 31 colours I changed some of them around myself. I absolutely wanted my Persians to have that beautiful blue colour and I changed the French to a rose instead of the pink they had before. it wasn't that big a deal to do some switching around.

Wait, can that mod be installed to influence the normal game? Or does it require a specific scenario?

This is in my standard game files. I replaced the Art/ Units/ Pallets file in both Vanilla and Conquests with the new ones.

I did a backup but have never been tempted to put it back to the old way. I really disliked the French and Russian colours so this was a psyche saver for me.

One final question, if I replace the graphic files, will it affect my current game? I almost never mess with the editor, so I really don't know much about it.

Yes, these are only graphics and do not affect game play. You will just have to get used to the different colours. If you play with "colour blind help" on you will know which is which if needed.

What I meant was like when I install a graphics mod, it changes immediately, however, colors are different. Will I notice it when I load up a save, or do I have to start a new game?

I assume you will see the difference right away but I won't swear to it.
