*edit*opps well it's not multiple choice

.....*edit2* and I missed Japanese ....close thread move along nothing to see here

Let's say you have a nice job you like and they are asking you to learn a non european language (any on the list) which one would you go for? (Top 25* by way of native first language speakers) * according to wiki but, It seems people keep proping up there own languages so the artical gets less and less accurate by the day. Please pick 5 languages

I was thinking about this since a majority of the ones I am learning/going to learn are from Europe - remember I mean the current Hub Country not the orgin of Indo-european. For example Farsi is indo european but, not a european language.

I would go for the Japanese Language as my first to learn (And by cooincidence, I am also learning how to speak and write in that language :D)

Edit: GAHHH!!! How can you forget Japanese!! :twitch: :p

If i had to pick another language it would be japanese. I assume in the pool Javanese meant Japanese so that's how I voted

Arabic, which I'm studying right now.

Javanese is a real language widely spoken on Java (in Indonesia), but it might also have been a typo for Japanese.

You know

Baba yetu, yetu uliye
Mbinguni yetu, yetu, amina!
Baba yetu, yetu, uliye
Jina lako litukuzwe.
(x2)

Utupe leo chakula chetu
Tunachohitaji utusamehe
Makosa yetu, hey!
Kama nasi tunavyowasamehe
Waliotukosea usitutie
Katika majaribu, lakini
Utuokoe, na yule, milelea milele!

CHORUS

Ufalme wako ufike utakalo
Lifanyike duniani kama mbinguni. (Amina)

CHORUS

Utupe leo chakula chetu
Tunachohitaji utusamehe
Makosa yetu, hey!
Kama nasi tunavyowasamehe
Waliotukosea usitutie
Katika majaribu, lakini
Utuokoe, na yule, simama mwehu

Baba yetu, yetu, uliye
Jina lako litukuzwe.

Since I can already speak Mandarin and Cantonese, I vote for Hindi, with Thai, Japanese and Arabic come in close second.

Arabic. Despite the fact I'm a great fan of Morroco, I have the feeling knowing arabic is going to be more and more useful (not to mention the richness of the language, literature etc...).
