Suppose that somebody has a history of abusing children, or is a registered child sex offender ...

Should they be made infertile? I'm sure it's possible

I don't think so because rapist usually don't usually rape with the intention of getting a baby out of it........

No, because that wont stop them from raping children.

I mean it will [prevent them from having children to abuse

Actually no it wont, they dont need to have thier own children to abuse. They can be teachers, baby sitters or day care personel and still abuse other peoples children. It happens all the time.

Depends which country we're talking about. Messing with peoples reproductive organs without permission, even if they are a sex offender, is not very democratic.

How about this situation: A young mother has had all 3 od her children taken away because of abuse. She is sexually active, and refuses to have abortions.

Should they make her infertile? Or at least force her to abort (abortion is against my beliefs, by the way)

She should remain in prison for an extended period of time and receive psychological help. And if she is pregnant, the child should go up for adoption after birth.

In the United States at least, her children would probably be taken away at birth.
