I'm betting the Coliseum is a Roman building...it seemed weird in the last game that it was a neutral building, especially with the thumbnail for the building clearly depicting the Roman Coliseum.

I bet the Great Wall is a Chinese unique improvement.

Freedom tower is American world wonder

They didn't show that before making the statement, though, so I don't think we can assume that. There were wonders in the Civ V trailer (or maybe it was the box art) that didn't make it into the original game.

I bet utopia will be the new winning condition. The man in the end with the globe could symbolize some utopia.

Seems names of rivers (and other things) will be in the game though nothing conformed of course. Ganges was written at a drawing of a river next to Gandhi.

That's Atlas, an ancient Greek mythological figure.

Yep, I'm with you on that one. I personally believe that the Great Wall belongs to China as a UI and the Colosseum belongs to Rome (two Chinese wonders are listed there). A border wall for China is especially innovative.

Well, they showed the Sphinx/Pyramids, Great Wall, Colosseum, and the Forbidden Palace.

So we know the Pyramids are a wonder, so there's 1. Have to assume that the Colosseum would be a unique Roman improvement. Sphinx has never been in the game. So that means that one of the Great Wall and Forbidden Palace would be a unique, and one is a Wonder. I would guess that the Great Wall is still a wonder, and that the Palace will be a unique improvement. Although it would be weird to see a "Forbidden City" in multiple cities, unless if it was some sort of "unique national wonder" for the Chinese.

Could also potentially see the Sphinx as a unique improvement for the Egyptians, that's an option too.

Good theories. I hope we get to know soon how many uniques the civs will get.

They mentioned a tiny bit about the artistic direction of the map, too. They said that the "mid fog of war" areas of the map will resemble hand-drawn maps. So, I'm guessing some of the (controversial) artistic decisions of the map images we've seen are based on that metaphor. (EDIT: Also, for of war confirmed. Heh.)

The fog of war that looks like an ancient hand drawn map would seem to clash with the "cartoony" look of the actual game map. But maybe that is on purpose. The fog war depicts what he think the world might look like, unknown, dark, lifeless, uncertain and then as you uncover the map, you discover a world that is vibrant and full of life, as depicted by the vivid colors.

The trailer has the part with civilians throwing rocks at a Soviet tank. Ed Beach was talking about city districts, but I got a feeling that there might be some sort of uprising/stability feature they havent discussed yet. (After all they said there are more unannounced features)

Another big thing they mentioned was reasons for war so maybe some sort of CB system will be in civilization 5.

I dare not hope.
