IGN is playing Rising Tide with devs today at 1pm PT

Does anyone else love how Elodie seems to have her own, unique snarky introduction dialogue with Leda? Because I do.

I don'y have a twitter, sadly. Could someone spam the question about old unique units getting new mechanics (Xeno Swarm have something like Drone Cages AoE heal?0

What is it?

I guess it means, that if you move to those tiles with the eyes, you're going to be spotted?
Yes, that may be the case, but I wonder about the mechanic behind that? Does the game tell him that there are opponents in the fog? Or what may be spotting him? Especially with the station in the south-west not giving any such symbols.

I would say so, and I hope they fix that. So you can only see those eyes when you see the enemy unit... I've also noticed in the beginning, that although you don't know who lands after you or at least in which order the civs land, you'll get their communiques/get notified about new potential agreements which spoils the surprise...

So I guess, that these are small details which will vanish in the release version.

Since there aren't many invis units, I say it should be part of the game, not to mention that some invis units could bump into each other like the subs in civ 5.

It's a cool mechanic.

So long as there are reliable ways to reveal said invisible units.

That sounds like a terrible system, honestly.

I was hoping for something like Red Alert 3, where Explorers automatically reveal invisible units in their radius but are vulnerable to attack.

So leashing a unit is makes it part of your army and takes most of your explorers health. Not only will harmony have more affinity based(xenomass) unit they will also have a alien army.

Some of these are repeats, but here is what i gathered

- No new Victory conditions (hybrids are suppose to get them just as easily)
- Alien building tiles / - Ancient alien structure(Probably quest based)
-Every biome has a marvel (or 2?, already mentioned in another stream perhaps)
- Last sponsor is water based (starts on water)
- techs are unchanged, but costs have been adjusted and techs have been moved around
-Virtues are basically the same but re-balanced
- the MAIN income for diplo capital is from agreements.
- Wonders are stronger, and generate diplo capital
-Sponsor unique bonuses re-balanced
-Some wonders artifact bound (mentioned before)
- New soundtrack
-Global bonuses can be received from artifacts (ex: all cities can shoot past mountains)
- co-operating with a certain nation can help/deteriorate your relationship with another based on those two nation's current relationship
- Leashing is at level 3 harmony (Leashing bigger units happens later)
- Big aliens are relevant even later in the game
- Stations don't seem to be any different (at least yet)

This statement has sparked in me a renewed desire for affinity upgrades for Explorers.
