Alright, these lists are absolutely dumb. Let's make up our own! I'll start us off.

1. Super Mario Bros.
2. Tetris
3. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
4. Super Metroid
5. Chrono Trigger
6. Super Mario 64
7. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
8. Super Mario Galaxy
9. Super Smash Bros. Brawl
10. DOOM

I kept the top two unchanged because they are the most characteristic of a "video game" in that they are a TOTAL escape from reality, which is what games are for. Duh. We all should have known that!

How about NO, ya crazy swedish bastard?

1. Sim City Societies (2007, Tilted Mil, Creating)
2. Rayman (1995, UbiSoft, Platform)
3. Rayman 3 (2003, UbiSoft, Platform/Action)
4. -Absolutely no idea-
5. -Ani-
6. -Ani-
7. -Ani-
8. -Ani-
9. -Ani-
10. -Ani-

Impossible Creatures at #2 is just wrong.

Here's a more IGN-ish one.

1. Super Mario Bros.
2. Tetris
3. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
4. Super Metroid
5. Super Smash Bros. Brawl
6. Super Mario 64
7. Chrono Trigger
8. Super Mario Galaxy
9. Half-Life 2
10. Sid Meier's Pirates!
11. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
12. Resident Evil 4
13. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
14. StarCraft
15. BioShock
16. Civilization IV
17. God of War
18. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
19. X-COM: UFO Defense
20. DOOM

#10 was first going to be DOOM, then I changed it to Wasteland, then to Pirates!.

Let's just discuss the lists the gaming websites have made, Swein Forkbeard. I think a CFC list will hardly be of any value.

Basically, what I meant to say was what do you think IGN's next list is going to be like?

1. Sim City Societies (2007, Tilted Mil, Creating)
2. Rayman (1995, UbiSoft, Platform)
3. Rayman 3 (2003, UbiSoft, Platform/Action)
4. -Absolutely no idea-
5. -Ani-
6. -Ani-
7. -Ani-
8. -Ani-
9. -Ani-
10. -Ani-

There's no way a Rayman fan can ignore Rayman 2.

Oh, and by the way, I'd like to know what your favorite franchises are.

I think wasteland should definitely be in the top twenty, it was the first real sandbox RPG, and one of the first to be done from a perspective other than first person.
