I'm gonna call it: No more new Civs from Asia for R&F

We need something more from the middle east at least. Babylon is seemingly out so it could be Assyria, the Selucids, Parthia, the Sassanids etc, there are plenty of options. Other than that yeah I agree, North and South America are the most underrepresented right now, I think one Native American civ (whichever they prefer) and probably the Inca are going to be in it as well as something from North/West Africa. Then we just need something to cover the Byzantium/Ottomans/Turks/etc part of the equation

I have a feeling Carthage won't be in the expansion but will probably be one of the next DLCs

The mechanics of R+F indicate loyalty and city flipping, which makes me think of expanded colonial gameplay (which would also explain the choice of using Australia as a DLC).

I agree we're done with Asia (Korea / Mongols). We're also adding Netherlands, which mixes nicely with colonial history with Indonesia.

That leaves 5:

Zulu and Mali

An American Indian civ, and I'm hoping they go with a specific-civ route and not the generic "Native Americans". Really hoping for Iroquois, but would LOVE if they got crazy and did Iroquois AND Sioux (peaceful confederation builder, warlike murder civ).

My "wildcard" is Canada (I know, shocker).

Now, if they only do Iroquois (because with Mongols and Zulu you've got 2 heavy warmonger civs already, so Sioux would not be the first choice AmerInd), then I'm hoping for Maya or Inca, but would love to see them think outside the box and do Gran Colombia, which would then mean that every colonial-conquest region would be covered, and Gran Colombia would be NEW.

I think they already announce the 8 Civilizations in the trailer, more or less.

Korea was the scene with crowned Daughter noodding to Father.
Mongolia was the scene with Daughter as Keishig, saving Father from attacks.*
Netherlands was the scene in a cellar hidding (the map was dutch and go well with Wilhemina).

* : The archers in this scene have special outfit, that can be a hint for another medieval civilization.

All the scene go from ancient to information era. The thing is, I don't know all other scene will match.

• Daughter gives water to Father building a wonder. We see some mountains/hills and forrest/jungle.
I think this is going to be an ancient civilization from Anatolia. Temple of Artemis is the only wonder from ancient era added. This could be Byzantine, Ottoman or a new civilization like the Hittite. My guess will be the Byzantine empire.

• Father is going to fight in the Colloseum.
So... A new leader for roman civilization? Or maybe the Byzantine empire is going to be under Roman civilization? I don't know what to think about this.

• Daughter go to see her sick father with plague doctor.
For me it's going to be a renaissance italian city-state. They made a big link with the discovery of America in the next scene, credited to Cristopher Columbus. Even if he was working for Spain, he was from Genoa. Genoa was a rival of Venice, and I think they want some new civilization as well, so my guess is Genoa. Furthermore, Genoa and the Byzantine went to war. After this war, the economic crisis lead the downfall of Constantinople one century later.

• Daughter on a collpasing boat in a storm. Daughter on a boat look in her pocket telescope and discover America.
I don't know if this scene announce a new civilization (Portugal?), a new leader for Spain (Isabella), or just to make a link with Christpher Columbus to think about Genoa. It can be a way to announce the Inca or the Maya as well.

• Daughter let the french flag fly away to reveal the Statue of Liberty face.
Same thing from above: new leader for USA or France, or just to show Liberty (Libertas), which is a Roman Goddess to think about Roman again, or civilization of liberty, or a wonder civ from modern era or...

• The fall of a wall (the Berlin Wall?).
That could be every thing. From every leader of the Cold War from Stalin, Charles de Gaule, Churchill, or even after like Tito's Yugoslavia. That could be tricky: naming the actual Germany in Holy Roman Empire to add Germany with new leader.

Basicly, I'm going with Byzantine and Genoa. I'm not sure, but I think the trailer lead to this.

Eastern asia, I can agree there might be no more, Western asia on the other hand is a different story, as the Ottomans have a huge chance of showing up and one Surprise civ that can work with the Civ 6 rise and Fall mechanics that is also in western asia is Palmyra. So far they revealed the obvious civs, Mongolia, Korea, and Netherlands first, The only other civ that was given clues in the trailer is Georgia by the uniforms of one of the scenes. Otherwise the other 4 new civs are completely unknown unless hints from every monday before first looks.
