Immortal or Indestructable?

I think I'll gun for nigh-immortal and and nigh-invulnerable. I don't know how we"ll build society in that direction, but we should try.

I think a lot of people are misinterpreting the line set here by 'Immortality' vs 'Indestructibility'.

If Indestructable, you can never be harmed but have a finite lifespan. (Time will kill you in the end)

In immortal, you are still an vulnerable as you were before, but will never die of age. As long as you take care of yourself, you can live indefinately. If you're crushed by a car, you will die. If a tomour devours your liver, you will die. If a man puts five bullets in your thick Sicillian hide, you will die.


It's a choice of finite life without fear of harm, or a life would could last forever if your play your cards right.

I choose immortality.

Immortality. I could have a good look around, then die when I feel ready. I'm sure I'd be a lot more motivated to do things if I knew my knowledge/skills would last at least a century.

Also, I could be one of those stunt test people and get my own show doing death defying stuff and not have to worry about dying like bungee jumping into a volcano.

Indestructible. As has been mentioned, there's simply too much too lose with immortality that you'd stop living your life in the way it should be lived. Indestructible, you'd be a glorious human, doing as you pleased and then going out with all your deeds behind you.

(although possibly the lack of death's head popping up would cause all the adventure to become boring, in which case, jeeze....I don't know.)

This isn't a thread for Twilight-zone cursed wishes, your must choose between being garunteed life without harm for ~77 years, or life as dangerous as natural life but without age.
