Kill Joe. He's an aggressive psychopath who declares war for the most trivial reasons. One of us is enough.

It took me some time to figure Joe was the little name of comrad' Staline... will try to get things started on the russian front... save DLed, but I haven't looked at the details yet... so keep the good ideas coming

Ok, now I had time to look at the save... and I am indeed impressed by the stacks ...
I will try to improve HC status (with Pigswill's idea)... and grab the first two russian cities (Yaroslav, St Pet.), after shipping the army over there...
Nothing much left to do but mop up...

I was thinking that if Han has learned radio maybe he could work out mass media. Then we pinch a couple of techs, build the United Nations from the skulls of our enemies and gain a 'diplomatic' victory.

What is that for Paulis (or someone else)? I would think radio+flight (bombers) would be more more usefull... or what Pigswill just suggested (radio+ mass media -> UN)... I think the later is better because we can either win faster or at least vote everybody out of emancipation.

Firstly, how do you want to vote others out of empancipation? IIRC you can only vote for the "bottom"-civics, like emancipation. Not what you want, is it?

I'm not sure winning with the UN is easy since you have some vassals and no friends voting for you. Remember, you can only put the Diplo victory vote on the table if you can't vote yourself to win alone. Vassal's votes count only half. Stalin is furious with you and Wang cautious so likely none of them will vote for you. Charlie will be your contender. I don't have any numbers BUG has. There is a very nice breakdown on the victory screen. I'd have a look at that before committing to the UN. It'll probabely be easier if you just beeline other military techs...

Hi guys,

played 7 turns until Joe agrees to be our vassal. I haven't done it though just in case someone wants to push further for fun. Otherwise, I think Shyuhe should just move our mighty army next to Wang's borders and blitz him.
Techs stolen: Flight, Radio, Plastics, Rocketery. Refrigeration will be in next turn.
Current civics: Police state/nationhood/slavery/state property/theocraty.
Eps set on Ashoka as he is the only one with unknown techs (I didn't thought at it while playing, but we can also put EPs on HC for some nuking fun - he will get fission in 4 turns). Spies in Leptis (Hanni) and Vilcas (HC)... 2 more are going to our rally point city to be shipped into Ashoka's lands (more thiefs).
Great spy born and infiltrated Hanni. GG is waiting orders in capital. Rushmore built somewhere near ex Hannibal's land (I think in our original sugar city). Factories/Coal plants/airports ordered everywhere. We have more troops than we can use ...

I'm more of a cottage guy and am not a good Montezuma player, but I was glad to get some practice with farms.

I never built the Kremlin before. Now I'm still not sure when I would, but I think the circumstances are a combination of:

(this is pretty obvious, really)

* strong bulbing to get Communism early enough
* somebody to steal techs from, at least with the Communism great spy and preferably with the building as well
* a rushing opportunity. Either if you need one quick war where you can sacrifice all your population, or if you skipped a lot of buildings; and probably if you have either a lot of farms or a lot of mature cottages; and if you want to do it with slavery you might need to be spiritual.

Really nice view on to all those farms

I'm also not sure when I'd build the kremlin, but with stone it doesn't cost so many hammers... The #1 reason imo is a lenghty renaissance war. Whip/Draft your ppl to death, capture loads of cities and then turtle up for space while pop- and goldrushing some infra.

Yeah, the idea is to role play Asterix and his tribe. I'd like to make a specific map for this one (not totally handly done, but I want us to be on a corner which would look like Brittany), with a selected roster of AI (egyptians, romans of course, greeks, vikings, Sitting Bull, and some others possibly). We would play the celts ("gaulois"), with Brennus renamed "Asterix". It would be AW, difficulty to be discussed but at least emperor (immortal would be crazy hard , thus crazy fun), with perhaps some other flavours (start with a settled scientist "Panoramix"' and a GG "Obelix")...
There are other possibilities though
