The Chinese Civil, which has waged since 1721, is ultimately complete. Ming forces, aided heavily by the Great Bulgarian Empire, has defeated Qing forces in Korea. While there is still a substantial naval threat posed by Qing loyalists at sea, the Ming Empire has gained supremacy in its sphere in light of growing problems in Sweden.

The fall of Qing Korea is the largest battle the post-1720 world has seen thus far.

Empire of Hellas

Tsar Peter VII, influenced by his beloved wife, the Greek Tsarina Maria, and his Greek Chancellor Georgios Karaiskakis, as well by the rise of Greek nationalism and the fact that the Bulgarian Empire is Hellenized and Greek in all but name, has declared the formation of the 'Empire of Hellas'.

Peter VII has also changed his Imperial Title from Tsar to the Greek 'Vasileus' and has renamed Tsarograd (back) to 'Constantinople'. The Byzantine Twin Eagles have also become the flag of the Empire. Only a few Bulgarian conservative Nobles have resisted those changes and they were swiftly executed. The majority of the Nobles, including most of the Bulgarian ones, have accepted warmly the change.

In Northern Bulgaria, a small scale uprising has been brutally crushed by the army and thousands have been massacred. The majority of the army (in which the Greeks are the majority) and of the population (the Greeks are the largest ethnic group in the Empire) have accepted the changes. The Bulgarian population has mostly accepted the reforms, since they have not developed as much of a national identity as the Greeks and are mostly faithful Orthodox Christians and thus influenced by Patriarch Anthimos, who has supported the changes.
