Imperium Offtopicum - UN Building

What? You're on my side!

Really? I must have missed that (I can never remember who my allies are ). In that case change my vote, always willing to help out a fellow ally.

As for the unnoticed news of the invasion of Panama, I bring upon the socialist alliance to vote if we should go to war or not. I would normally do this on my own, except until Friday of next week my military is pretty week (side affect of the Modernization of Iran).

I call the first Congress of the Socialist Alliance to meet now. The topic, whether to go to war with The Thirteen States over their invasion of Panama or just to sanction them.

I vote for war.

Thank you Tailesskangaroo for the great idea! I too, will now end all my posts with my national flag :goodjob:

I suppose we should talk it out, but Panama is a neutral place. It's just not right to invade it. If we have the backing of the rest of our allies, than it seems war is inevitable.

FOR THE INVASION OF THE SOCIALISTS AIMED AT THE LIBERATION AND FURTHER NEUTRALITY OF THE PANAMA CANAL

America thinks the invasions has merit. I had enough votes to annex it, but it was placed neutral. We're claiming what we should had got.

I suggest nations that care about their citizens withdraw their peacemakers before they get blasted by my awesome Battleships.

If you dare even TOUCH Panama, I'll blast your *** all the way back to the KIEVIAN RUS!

Same thing goes for any other nation, just insert more appropriate punch line at the end.

You know what, I think I'm going ahead without the alliance (though they can sure help me if they want).

I declare war on The Thirteen States, the causus belli: Invasion of Neutral Panama (mandated by the UN).

My troops are loading onto transports as we speak. A division of 200,000 men will reach New York City by tomorrow anytime between 11:00 and 1:00.

I'll also be sending a massive division of men (100,000) to Panama, to help liberate the country. They will make it there roughly the same exact time as the division heading to NYC.

Good Luck ;)

(Though someone still needs to help me, as I don't really understand the war system completely yet...)

The DRF hereby proclaims that the top six floors of the UN building will be AlamoVille: six floors of luxury shopping, dining, and gambling. The bottom two floors will be cubicles for the slaves.

Being a neutral state, I'm not going to commit military forces to war.

However, that doesn't prevent me from being passive aggressive!

Pacifistan hereby is placing a full embargo on The US and all of it's supporters (namely, the CSA if they come out in favor of the US). Additionally, I will happily sell my high tech military weapons to any nation who declares war on the US at a reduced rate.

You roll two dice, one representing you and one representing your enemy, for each battle, and report the results in the War/Battles thread.

Currently, you have to roll only for the Battle of New York, as we're not really sure who should roll for the UN... I suggest either the Secretary General(me), rotating responsibility amongst the active members(though Pacifistan, given it's neutrality, would be good here), or electing someone else. Earthling, after all, can only do so much.

Actually, since you were the first one to commit troops to defend Panama, you can roll for the UN there. :) Remember to report your results in the Battles/Wars thread so I can tally them up, add the bonuses/penalties/etc. and the final result can be made. Unless any other states have objections to this proposal, of course.

Furthermore, you will only be able to attack the USA once, and wait for them to have a chance to counterattack before you can attack again. This means you can only attack New York City, before letting them have a chance to strike back. You can, however, also attack the CSA in the same turn if you wish. The rule is you can attack as many countries as you want in a single "turn", but you are limited to one attack until the enemy has a chance to strike back.

Also remember that, as Israel is across the ocean, you will suffer a distance penalty, where the defenders automatically get +1 to their rolls. If you manage to gain land in the USA and attack from there, however, you will no longer have the distance penalty, by merit of already having a base there. Remember that if your offensive is turned back at some point, that the USA will gain a counterattack bonus should they decide to retaliate on their turn.

Hope that explained it. :)

The DRF has stolen all of Owen Glyndwr's tech and offers it for free to all nations who oppose him.

That reminds me. What are the DRF's thoughts on the USA's invasion of the Panama Canal, which is wedged between DRF territories?

The Thirteen States promises, if the DRF helps, not only a repeal of our embargo, but also UNREGULATED usage of Panama Canal so as long you agree the land is solely mine. :deal:

No such invasion occured, as in addition to our tsunami machine, the DRF also has hurricane machines which destroyed the USA's invasion forces and its coastal cities as well.

I accept your surrender.

YES on Israel's claims to Saudi Arabia/Sudan, NO to Tibet's claims, those are too much.

And YES on the alliance going to war with USA over the invasion of Panama.
